Introduction
...The Underground Society...
There are secret societies everywhere. Most people have no idea that they exist, but there are others who set up these societies and join them. They can be known as some religious group, or a group that has a certain goal to achieve, like bringing down someone of importance or the like. The members can look like everyday people, but turn into this grotesque person at night, when the society meetings are held.
This is not that kind of society. It is far from the other ‘normal’ ones. While people go about their everyday normal lives, there is a large group of people who are a part of the Underground Society. They are the ones whose jobs are to keep the monsters from causing chaos on normal people. Some of these monsters are actually good, unlike their chaos causing kin, and joined the Society to keep the ‘evil’ underground. Out of sight. Unable to harm the innocents. A few humans who have seen the monsters the Society hunts and keeps in check have even decided to join to help out. The Society is everywhere, in incospicuous buildings as their bases. Some literally are underground. The main part of the Society looks like any other building, but only the Members are allowed to enter. The members of the Underground Society are the silent heroes of the world.
The monsters the everyday person knows from movies and stories, like Dracula and the Wolf man, are all real. Their sole purpose is to follow their reputation as evil beings and only harm the people of the world. They are the ones who are hunted day by day, run away from the Society while causing pain wherever they go. They will not be stopped until they are dead.
The struggle between the hunters and the hunted of these two groups has been going on for centuries. There has never been an imbalance in power. The two sides are evenly balanced, tugging and pulling at each other constantly with no side gaining significant ground. For these two groups, there is only one question…

How long I’ve been in the Society: Five years
My personal history: I first came across the Society when I was ten. I was at my house, and it was night and storming. A sudden banging on the door made my parents nervous, and we were all just leaving the room when the door was knocked down. I ran and hid, and my parents were left behind. Whatever knocked down the door attacked and killed my parents. Society members eventually found me hiding in the closet and took me in. They taught me everything, and I revealed that I was a shapeshifter. I've been working for the Society ever since.
Personality: Shy and quiet around new people. Kind, caring, but haunted by her past. Sylvia can be tough and agressive when she needs to be, but most of the time is meek, hence her codename. Sylvia can be extremly paranoid and fearful, but most of the time she doesn't show it. She is also very good at catching details at monster crime scenes.

My personal history: I was born completely Deaf to Deaf parents. I was raised in a visual environment, which means I was taught American Sign Language, lived in a house with lights that flashed whenever the videophone rang or the doorbell was pressed. I went to a school for Deaf children like me and grew up around many other Deaf people. I didn't even know there were hearing people until I was about six!
I went to college and studied criminal psychology with a minor in forensics. When I graduated and began looking for a job, I kept getting turned down because I was Deaf. Hearing employers believed that I wouldn't be able to communicate with them or be able to react quickly in the field, which isn't true. One day, I found a listing asking for a 'hearing-impaired individual with criminal psychology or forensics training. Must be completely deaf. No prior job experience required. Must be able to start immediately. Must be open to hunting down dangerous individuals on a regular basis.' It was as if the ad had been made for me. I answered the ad and was immediately hired upon receipt of my resume.
My new employers didn't tell me for almost a week that I'd be hunting down monsters. I just went through their job training with my interpreter, Harold, who had attended school with me, albeit in the Deaf Studies program. He had gotten a minor in criminal justice, and had been hired along with me. It wasn't until Harold finally confessed to me that he was a half-demon in disguise and had convinced the Underground Society to hire me in order to chase after Valery Mosinn, a Siren, that I learned what my true job was. I panicked like a little two year old and began screaming It was a bit of a shock, but once I'd gotten over it, it was easy to accept my job. I found that I rather like working with some of the creatures. They're very interesting.
Personality: Open-minded, sensitive about being called 'hearing-impaired', and focused.
Likes: Being with other signing people, her job, and cupcakes.
Dislikes: People telling her what to do, people ignorant about Deaf Culture, and broccoli

My personal history: My dad was a demon who worked for the Underground Society for years. I grew up hearing about his work and always wanted to be like him. He insisted that I learn a lot of different languages, because apparently, they need those. I can speak Japanese, Mandarin, Cantonese, Russian, German, French, Farsi, High Elven, Demonique, Angelique, Orc, and American Sign Language. I have degrees in all of them and often interpret for many of our members. I'm just really good at learning new languages, and I'm in the middle of learning Dwarven.
When Valery Mosinn began assassinating members of the Underground Society, I remembered a classmate of mine who was completely Deaf and suggested that they hire her to track her down. At first, my superiors were extremely reluctant to include anyone who hadn't had any exposure to 'monsters', but after some severe arm-twisting and very, very persuasive arguing, they agreed to hire her.
Renei freaked for a bit when I told her I was a half-demon, but she came around pretty quickly. She's always asking me questions about the other races and finds it really awesome that I can interpret not only for her, but for almost everyone she comes into contact with.
Personality: Suave, confident, a bit of a jerk sometimes, but overall, good-hearted.
Likes: black and red, speaking tongues, and scaring people

My personal history: I was recruited, and trained after the day my parents were killed by monsters when I was 8. I didn't officially get the job until I was well trained over years, and now I just began and it wasn't like how'd I imagined. I thought this would like jumping in, standing out all like hero and stuff. Afterwards I began to see how they truly get the job done, the superiors I was assigned to ordered me to hurt inhuman monsters that weren't even a threat. I even see humans can be as evil as the monster or demons alike, so I disobeyed a direct order by letting them go.
I now am being force to work with a slight different type of area with...people around "my level", and I wanted to quit, but I know I got a job to do, I may not like how the Underground Society works, but there are some good souls here settled this place as a home, and I don't want to see more people lose their families. I began to learn and take engineering if I was to adapt to city life, make use of myself to understanding todays technology, and I will design a weapon not for destruction or raining death from the skies, but to take lives of those who hurt others.

My personal history: She rebelled against the heavens, because she didn't believe the concept of things were right. She believed it was unfair how the gods would condone prejudiced, injustice, poverty, and continuous war that was uncalled for. When she even stated her mind, she fell from the sky at the age of seventeen, many ultimate powers stripped from her such as her ability to be completely invincible she can feel pain, she can feel more emotionally, she can cry, she became from what was a desenitized angel to one full of more feeling. She wouldn't have it any other way. On the streets she lived on her own until the society found her. As she walked on earth she was a graveyard lurker talking to the dead comforting them with song, telling them the truth underground in their underworld or heavens.. She has so much remorse that actually lurking upon earth drove her to more madness. She wore a trench coat to cover her wings, and hid her scythe. When she would see an unremorseful crime happen on the street she would slice the opressor on sight, and heal the victim. She found the society by a member seeing her in the act. (you can chose who and whichever for that since she's new, I'd like you to set up an entrance for me if you would like so I'm not unsure where to post). That said member said that she was perfect for healing, assassinations and even detective work since she had extra sensory of feelings of people in danger (empathy). They asked if she could harm others without killing she said not only in combat but she could take their souls instead if need be.
Personality: She's still unintouch with feelings somewhat when it comes to her own, she's too distracted by others. She can come off as blank until someone interacts with her, she is silent and shy for she is filled with a much inerthought of things she wants to change.

The Hunted Monsters ~One behind the Monster: Irako of the Desert

Why I am Hunted: I am an assassin-for-hire that seduces men and women to their watery deaths by luring them with my voice.
How long I’ve been Hunted: About a year.
My personal history: My father was a merman, my mother a Siren. When I was born, she killed him for me to feed on as my first sustenance. She then taught me all the secrets of the Sirens. One of the things that I learned is that a Siren's voice can do much more than lure men to drown. Depending on the songs you sing, you can make anyone fall in love with you, despise their friends, hallucinate, or drop dead. You just have to know how to sing the right song.
I learned fast and my mother became afraid of me. She tried to kill me with her songs, but the one weakness of the Siren's voice is that if you can't hear it, you can't be affected by it. I merely plugged my own ears and ripped out her throat. Then I went to other Sirens and learned their songs. Once I had gained all their knowledge, I killed them. Now, I am the most knowledgeable Siren in the world.
A human despot who lived near the sea heard of me and sent men out with offerings of treasures and a request for my voice. I killed the men and took the treasure, but was amused by the letter he'd sent with them. I appeared to him as a naked women in his throne room and sang a death song to him. He had been prepared for me, though, and was unable to hear me. Instead, he wrote me notes telling me that he would pay me to kill a troublesome noble stirring up rebellion. I accepted, impressed by this human's cunning and curious about the human world. With my voice, I sang songs of love and seduction, making the rebellious noble fall in love with me. When I had gained his trust, I lured him to water and drowned him.
My reputation grew and I became a sought-after assassin by those who wanted to frighten their enemies. With so many requests, I became rich. I began to experiment with creating my own songs and would test them on targets.
Recently, a contract was taken out on certain members of the Underground Society. I've succeeded with a few of them, but they are now aware of my presence and hunt me.
Personality: Unconsciously seductive, cruel, and curious.

How long I’ve been Hunted: Hunted officially for a little over five years.
My personal history: Both of my parents were vampires. They were top of their class and were two of the most feared in our region. Until more powerful members of the Society killed them off. I managed to get away from them unharmed, and I've made it my goal to kill and torture as many humans and Society members as possible before my own end. I remained unnoticed completly for around one hundered and eight years, but one mistake has made me a Target. I have been keeping low for five years, but I'm still killing.

My personal history: A Trickster Demon is almost a Demi-God. They can live forever and it's hard to kill them. Ombre is no different. He has caused mayhem and laughs everywhere he's been. He is one of the first creatures that the Society had on their hunt list. He didn't take to kindly to this. As a trickster demon he can take any physical thing and make it into something else. So he started out simple enough, he turned the founders carriage horses into monkeys but they still didn't get the message. One of the bastards nearly staked him, so in return. Ombre turned his wife into a hideous creature that died shortly after. If only the bottom half was a fish...

Why I am Hunted: Hunted several innocent people for blood with my master, wasn't too long until Society caught on and eliminated him. They saw my getaway, knowing that the work done wasn't done by master alone, but now I am on the run, still...it feels something resides within me, causing the incident while I am not conscious.
How long I’ve been Hunted: 10 years
My personal history: I once was part of a loving family, I was 16 at the time before I had to "Fade" from existance. I was such a fool to follow my heart, should have known my love was a lie. I became a puppet, but now I am free...with a curse.
Without the blood of my master, I am act upon instinct, every day I struggle and battle my thirst for blood. Every now and then I rarely drink another person blood to remain control. But when I ignore my needs, my "Other side" makes the demands through my unconscious state. So every now and then I wake to find the corpse next to me, it gets tiring and sicking...I hate it...I wanted to kill myself...but I still believe there is a way to undo this abomination.
Personality: Gloomy, Easily provoked when harass, kind and sweet when she gets to know the person better.

The Story Thus Far *Sylvia starts out in the Records Office, putting away files. When she was to go back the the 'B' section to put a file away, she runs into Zander. They talk for about Mr. Camden, Keeper of the Records, and wether or not there was something to do. They talk about cases, old a new ones, and about the monsters in them.
*Renei and Harold enter the Records Office looking for a file on the Siren Valery Mosinn. They walk up to Zander and Sylvia. Harold and Sylvia have a small 'conflict' and when Renei/Harold said Valery's name, Sylvia stepped up and offered to find the file for them. Zander goes off on his own, and after Renei and Harold get the file, they split off from Sylvia.
*Emi the vampire is introuduced, and she has just killed someone for blood. She steps out of the alleyway she was in and walks away. Rosanna also makes an enterance, assignating a random girl. She and Emi encounter each other, and Emi starts to follow Rosanna. The roles are later reversed, and later Ryoku tells Emi she is being followed. Ryoku had gotten off a bus and got lost while trying to find the Society building and noticed the two girls looking suspicious.
*Sylvia is also in the area, still in cat form, walking towards the others.
*Ryoku tries to help Emi, but Emi tries to get away from him. Sylvia over heard their conversation and went into an alleyway to shift back into her human form, spying on the duo.
*Rosanna comes out of her hiding place and confronts Ryoku and Emi, but Ryoku uses a smoke bomb and grabs Emi, dragging her away into an alley. Rosanna follows, as does Sylvia when she shifs into a Dobberman.
*Zander comes back from the shooting range and gets on a bus, after having called his informant on the vampire Sylvia mentioned and being told where it feeds.
*Ombre appears, taking a casual stroll.
*In the alleyway, Emi and Ryoku have a fight. Before Ryoku leaves, he asks Emi for her name. Sick and tired of the human, Emi takes out her colored contacts and jacket, revealing her red eyes and blood stain. Rosanna had caught up with the two of them, and was on Emi's side.
*Sylvia soon catches up with the trio as well, and Emi and Rosanna assume that the 'dog' is a shapeshifter, and Emi thinks it smells familiar. Sylvia shifts into bat form and attacks Emi, trying to distract the duo and let Ryoku escape. He pulls out one of his weapons, and Rosanna grabs Sylvia by the leg, preventing her from escaping. Rosanna loses her grip on Sylvia and she flies down the alleyway to stay next to Ryoku, watching the two 'targets' for attack. Ryoku fires, and Emi and Rosanna move in.
*'Valery Mosinn' makes an enterance in her siren form, but reaches a beach in the USA and changes into her human form. Her next target is Zander.
*Renei and Harold do research on the siren, and decide to look at the victims to see if there are any clues.
*Ryoku sets off a different part of his weapon, paralyzing Rosanna and slightly paralyzing Emi. Emi grabs Rosanna and runs, and Sylvia takes on after them.
*Balgen makes a apperance in the alleyway with Ryoku.
*Zander gets off and sees Emi with Rosanna fly by, a 'dog' chasing them. He runs into the alleyway and sees Ryoku, who he recognizes. Syliva ends up loosing Emi and Rosanna, but finds the body of the man Emi fed off earlier. She runs back into the alleyway to tell Zander.
*Ombre appears in the Society building, looking for his file.
*The trio of Society members investigate the body, and Zander suggests that Sylvia and Ryoku leave, partly because of Sylvia's bad reaction. Sylvia agrees and says that she would show Ryoku the way to the building. Valery Mosinn makes her way to the alleyway, and finds Zander. As Sylvia takes Ryoku over to the building, Zander asks Valery is she needs help, as Valery pretends to be lost.
*Ombre looks at more files and leaves, but makes the files come alive, and they kill Mr. Camden. Renei and Harold enter the Office looking for Sylvia, only to be attacked by the files after seeing the bloody mess of Mr. Camden. Harold shows his demon form and brings the files under control, being inantimate again. Sylvia had reached the Office and saw both Harold's demon form and the 'body' of Mr. Camden before running and returning with help for Renei. Ryoku is also in the Office. Ryoku, howver, leaves the office shortly after and goes to the cafeteria.
*Zander tries to comfort Valery after she sees the body in the alleyway, being under her spell. Valery keeps her song going until she accidently says her alias, missing a beat but picking up the pace again. Zander catches the mistake and remebers that Valey is a Target. Valery sees Zander acting strangely after that and decides to leave, but not before weaving another song.
*Renei goes to the pyhsic's office and Sylvia goes to get a clean-up crew after Harold said something. Ryoku also leaves the cafeteria to look for Sylvia.
*Emi and Rosanna make it to one of Emi's old hideouts to lay low for a while. Ombre shortly makes an apperance in the same hideout.
*After Valery and Zander split off, Valery encounters Jai while Zander goes back to the Society building, trying and failing not to think of Valery. As Zander heads to the Records Office, Sylvia stops him half way and sends the clean up crew into the Office. Zander goes back into the Office to get the Donavon file and to look for Valery's file. Sylvia follows and stays with Ryoku, who enters the Office, as Zander looks for it. Sylvia gives Ryoku his room number and working station when he asks for it, and he leaves. Renei and Harold ask for Sylvia's help on looking for cases relating to Valery's, and the three of them find seven files. Lee is introduced, and is in the Records Office library with the other three. Harold and Renei soon leave because Harold is uncomfortable with Lee being an angel, and Sylvia starts to call the other buildings for the siren biography Harold asked for.
*Back in the shop, Ombre is upstairs looking for his old journals, while Emi and Rosanna stay on the lower floor.
*Sylvia finds the autobiography and places it 'on hold'. She and Lee stay in the Office and talk, while elsewhere Renei and Harold are looking over their research; Ryoku has also found where he works and is in the Engineering Lab.

 Sylvia was in the Records Office in the main Society building. She was standing on a ladder at one of the tallest filing cabnets in the office with a stack of files in one arm, and was rummaging through the file drawer she was looking in with the other. Her 'boss', Mr. Camden, asked her to organize some of the records that had been taken out recently. Since he was 'Keeper of the Records' and she was his assitant, Sylvia immediatley went to work filing away the records. She was almost done, having gone from all the way to 'A' files to 'Q' files. Even though there were some letters skipped, Sylvia guessed it had taken her maybe two hours to get this far. "Goes to show how many cases and sightings there are... And how many monsters there are out there..." Sylvia murmured to herself, placing a file in it's spot. From how many files she had to replace today, Sylvia was just glad that she hadn't seen her parents file in the stack.
Sylvia looked at the next file and let out a groan when she saw the file name started with a 'B'. "Damn. I thought Mr. Camden filied all of these alphabetically already. Guess he missed one..." Sylvia sighed and climbed down the ladder, jumping off at the last step. She landed with a 'click' from her heels and Sylvia started walking to the 'B' section of filing cabinets.Sylvia S. Harrow

Zander was bored, there wasn't enough field work for him. Well, there was enough, but there hadn't been any monster's that a new initiate couldn't capture or kill. He was a situation analyst, basically a strategist with a better title. No one needed a solid plan or trap or witty way to capture monsters anymore. He knew there were still some out there, but they were to good to even be on the Society's radar. He was walking through the Records Office, he was going to check on the file of that damn monster. The one that killed his parents, the one he was actively looking for.
As he was walking through he heard the clicking of heels. Apparently Sylvia hadn't gone home yet. The sound got louder so apparently they were going to the same place, he saw her and smirked. "Don't you ever go home?"

Sylvia had been looking down at the file that had been misplaced, but looked up at the sound of Zander's voice. "Oh! Hey Zander," Sylvia said, her glasses sliding down her nose. At his question, she said, "Mr. Camden had a lot of files to put away, so it was my job to put them all away." Sylvia's glasses started to fall down her nose, so she pushed them back up. It was true about hardly going home, though. Sylvia spent most of her time either working in the Records Office or walking around the building. It wasn't a nice feeling to be home most of the time for Sylvia, so she tried her best to avoid her house. "He missed a file though. I was all the way at 'Q' and had to walk over here since this files a 'B'," she added, holding up the file. Sylvia S. Harrow

Zander shook his head and chuckled. "You're all business huh? Camden can put his own files away ya know. It'd probably teach him some organization." He glanced at the file and shook his head again. "Is there anything interesting out there? I'm getting cabin fever or something just being cooped up in here all the time." He didn't really know Sylvia that well, he usually avoided the Records Hall, it just meant doing paperwork. A secret society and they still have to record everything they do and how they did it. It's a secret but there's a paper trail? Is that Irony or what?

Sylvia shrugged and said, "It's gotten into a habit. When I first got here, Mr. Camden had already been asking for help and no one was taking the job. I was pretty much hired spur of the momet, but I like organizing things anyhow. Besides, it's better than being at home." Sylvia took a quick glance at the nearest filing cabinet and, seeing it was marked 'B', opened a drawer. There was an obvious empty spot and she placed the file there. "Anything interesting?" she repeated, closing the drawer. "It depends on your definiton. Out there, there's been reports of suspicous murders and the such. They think it's some vampire or something like it causing havoc out there. Some members are out on the look out right now, I think. In here, it's just old cases. I've only read a few, but some of them are brutal." Sylvia said, shuffling the rest of the files she had. There only two left, and both of them were 'Y's. Sylvia surprised herself, talking so calmly like she was know. She hadn't seen or even talked to Zander a lot, and Sylvia normally broke down into a stuttering mess when she talked to someone she didn't know well.Sylvia S. Harrow

Zander sighed. "Vampires are boring. They're easy to kill and easy to trap. There are the few ancients that cause problems but they're all bloodsuckers. They always need to feed." He shook his head and scoffed. He sounded cocky, but with good right. He was one of the best at catching the pain in the a** monsters out there. The ones that killed people for even thinking about them. He slid his hands into his pockets and looked around the hall again. It was dead and he found it unsettling. "It's hard to get a lead of some of the older cases too. When something realizes we're onto them they usually change MO's. The smart ones do anyway. We've probably got at least 10 files on some of the same things that just adapted when we caught on to them." He took one hand out of his pocket and scratched his head. Thats why he hadn't found his monster yet. The damned thing switched up the game and must have become a totally different killer.

Something flashed across Sylvia's eyes at the word 'vampire'. It was so brief, if you blinked you would have missed it. Sylvia hadn't shown any reaction when she said the word, and she played off her new reaction by rubbing her eyes with one hand, pushing her glasses out of the way. "Some vampires are smart enough not to get trapped, though." Sylvia said nonchalantly, but she avoiding the slight catch in her voice she got when she was talking about something related to her past. "To me, the older cases have gone completley cold. Some of them hardly have any information in them at all, and we can only go by guesses as to what is doing what, and what name the monsters are going under now. There are hardly any leads. Some of them are cocky, and they... I don't know, leave symbols or special markings to indicate that they're the same thing that's killed people before, and they want us to know they're still killing now. They throw it in our faces. It makes me sick just thinking about some of the closed cases I've read..." Sylvia said. Her mind breifly started to wander back to the night the Society found her, but she pushed the thought away. Sylvia was still sensitive when it came to talking about her past. She hadn't even read her parents file. It was still an open case, the monster that killed her family managed to escape before the Society could catch it. Thankfully, Sylvia had been spared having to explain the event that brought her into the Society after she had been questioned.Sylvia S. Harrow
