Blessed Greetings Students & Teachers,

_This is a message to all those whom wish to study the ways of Archery or better the skills they have already honed. Competitions will be held with other schools around the world. So come join me at the Archery Range, through the door marked with the symbol of Artemis.

Sincerely,
Kerrigan VanAlderisch
Archery Coach

User Image Kerrigan smiled and greeted the young girl, "Welcome to the Archery Club shooting arena," she said as she swung her arm gracefully to present the rest of the room to the young girl. The place was set up on a beach and the only link to the school was the single door that stood just at the edge of a field behind them. The Archery range was actually part of Kerrigan's private home on the edge of the realm of the gods. If one looked far enough a crossed the field they might be able to spot her house on the other side.
"I see you don't have any equipment of your own, so you will need to select a bow from the rack to use when you are here," she pointed at the rack of bows and quivers off to her right.

Alex smiled and went over to the rack. She picked the one that stood out to her. Then she studied the area as she walked back to her spot.

Miko walked into the Archery Club shooting area. She sat her things and books down in a corner. She looked around "Um... Hello. I am Miko and i was wondering if I can join the Archery Club?" she asked. She liked Archery since hardly anyone got injured like in Soccer or Football. She looked around and noticed two others in the area as well and waited for them to be done talking.

Alex looked up at the girl and held out her hand and said " Hello I believe we might be teammates." Then she added a smile.

Kerrigan smiled at Alex, "Wonderful. Why don't you go ahead and select a target to shoot at. I just have out the simple targets today, at 40 paces out from the deck," she turned to Miko when she entered the area, "Nice too meet you Miko, I am Kerrigan the coach or sponsor for the archery club. The door is always open to anyone interested in Archery. If you don't have a bow there are some on the rack for use," she said before moving to the back side of the rack to unlock the arrow case and file drawer.
She pulled out five arrows for each of the girls, as well as a paper for each of them. She handed them the papers and set the arrows in the stationary holders at each shooting station, "The paper is just a waiver that says that I'm not at fault for any injuries you might get from being part of the archery club," she said simply. Kerrigan then proceeded to conjure her bow, quiver, and arrows to her from apparently no where.

Alex smiled and got right to it. She took an arrow and went to her spot and shot. While she waited for her arrow to hit the target she fixed herself, then she looked up and saw the arrow barley missed the middle. "Dang." Then she picked up an arrow and tried it again.

Miko was good at Archery but she never believed it. She took the waver and read it over and signed her name on it and handed it back to the leader. She grabbed a bow and set with and arrow and aimed at the target. She smiled and let the arrow go. She watched the arrow and watched it hit dead center. She blinked shock "Um..... Is that a good thing that it hit dead center?" she asked. She never learned the rules and what-not of archery so she always just shot the arrow for fun.

Alex smiled and said "Yes thats good." Then she signed and handed it back to the teacher.

User Image"That was a most excellent shot Miko," Kerrigan said as she glanced at the paper in her hand, "The center of the target is worth the most points in competition, and each ring out from the center is less points than the previous ring. Most competitions have the center set up as 50points. Then 40points, 25points, 10points, and 5 points as the outer white ring," she looked over at the other girl's target, "I'm glad to see we have some skill here as well. Just barely off center Alex, an excellent shot as well," Kerrigan then took her stance at the range where the target was set at 200yards away (the rest were set at 50yards for now). "The key to hitting center no matter the distance is wind, and angle. The further away something is the higher you want to aim, and the higher you aim the more the wind will affect your shot. Right now there is little to no wind at all so just the right angle should be good enough to hit center. At 200yards I usually aim for the spot where the 40 & 25 point circles meet on the upper side of the target," and as she said this she released the arrow and watched it fly through the center of the target, "However, My strength is far greater than most so I don't need to aim as high no matter what distance. Which is why each person has to find their own personal targets to hit the true mark."

Charles stepped behind the archers. He was sure that it wasn't a good idea to step in front of them. Less he find something in his abdomen. It could freak out the girls because it may not kill him if he moved his organs. The man was dressed in a button down shirt and a pair of dress pants and shoes. He didn't wear his over coat. He really didn't see a reason why. For the first time he also didn't wear the black gloves. His hands rested behind his back as he held something behind him. He stepped up closer to Karrigan. "Hello." He said with his British accent. He would always have it if not anything else in the world.

User ImageKerrigan was notching another arrow when Charles said hello to her. She turned arrow still notched on the bow and angled it downward at the ground as she did so, "Hello yourself," she said with a smile, "I didn't hear you come out in," she glanced toward the translucent door back to the campus.
