Freebirds by Scott McAllister

Note- You know all of those high-pitches and really fast runs? Yeah, most of them are clarinets. Two solo clarinets to be exact. I can't decide whether this makes me want to get better at clarinet or just quit because I'll never reach that level xd .

EDIT- And yes, this has to do with concert band because I heard it while attending a concert with my band....

Thirteen minutes just makes it epic without even beginning to hear it.

Oh, never noticed the time, but now that I think about it imagine having to play such high and fast notes for 13 minutes, it's superhuman xd .

Drum Corps manage to make something you'd never think a hornline could play orchestral and make it absolutely beautiful. And its my favorite canon in D by far, im teaching my horn line it for marching band, show up the woodwinds lol

We do that in my band but we really don't have to do much because there is more brass than wood winds haha

lol 50 clarinets, 25-30 flutes, 15 alto saxes, 5 tenor saxes, 6 baris. a lot of woodwinds, but our brass section is one powerful beast biggrin

No one else in our band did, either, until we heard it xd . Personally, it took me a while to realize that the bird sounds were being made by the clarinet sweatdrop .
