SOLITUDE
Story
In the year 2013, NASA and other such organizations resumed mankind's exploration of the stars, which had ceased since the United States' technological victory over the Soviets in 1969. The rivalry was reborn when Russia became the first to reach Mars, with the United States responding by sending the first men to Mercury. Japan entered the fray by braving the poisonous gases of Venus, as did China by landing the first men on the tiny captured asteroids of Deimos and Phobos, the satellites of Mars. Britain created a lunar base inhabited by fifty men and women, which would later be considered the first milestone in developing the technologies used in terraforming. The footprints of the French were the first to be formed upon Ceres, the largest rock in the asteroid belt, yet still the smallest planet in the Solar System. By 2015, the US had reached the unimaginably giant Jupiter, as well as its moons Io and Ganymede. The Chinese, however, would steal over the course of the next year the most prominent of the other 61 satellites from them. In an attempt to return to the days when they ruled the stars, the United States began a bold endeavor. A small team of astronauts would be sent toward Saturn, landing first on its outermost moon, then slowly making its way to the planet stopping at as many major moons as possible. Their vessel, the Assemblage, despite being one of the fastest ever built, would take two years to arrive at the first moon. After 730 days of solitude, the crew would sweep across Saturn's rings, planting their flag on Japetus, Hyperion, Rhea, Tethys, Encleadus, and, finally, the ringed giant itself. This is their story.
The RP will take place during the two years before reaching Japetus. If this is successful I'll make a sequel for the second half of the mission. By the way, I might use this idea for a short story or something later on so please don't steal it? :c
Rules
1. Follow the ToS.
I don't care about swears or violences, but don't do anything that'll get you (and possibly me, I don't have much experience with the Gaia's judicial system) banned.
2. Don't suck.
You don't have to be an expert role player, but at least read your posts over before you make them to see if they're awful or something.
3. Be nice.
There are things called apologies and things called not being a jerk; use them well.
Skeleton
Fill this out, remove the things in brackets, and PM it to me. Don't post it in the thread, that mucks it up and then it's gross. I do not want my RP to be gross.

You may notice that I don't require a picture. There's two reasons for this. First, requiring a picture limits people's creativity because if you can't find one to match your character you can't use it and oh my god it is so annoying you have no idea ho my gad. Second, RPing is supposed to be like books or something and books don't have pictures unless they're marketed at children, and this RP is not. Just use some damn adjectives.

Name: Genji Allure
Personality: Genji is a soft-spoken person, rarely raising his voice at anyone. He is not, by any means, shy or anti-social. He just won't be the most expressive person in the crew.
Religious/Philosophical Views: Hints of Lutheran Christianity, but he's not deeply religious. Wants to believe in God, but his science career contradicts what he was raised to believe.
Sexuality: Straight
Bio: Born on October 30th, 1987, as Matthew Jones. At an early age, he showed signs of a genius level IQ. Excelling at school (with only one B in the 8th grade), he was offered a scholarship to Princeton. (Legally changed his name to Genji Allure, finding his old name to religious.)
