I recently got a p*ercing in the upper cartilage of my left ear... my brother(although I value his opinion as much as I value satan's) says it's gross. My mom likes it..
I like it. What kind of p*ercings does everyone else here have?

<@~{No piercing yet though I have thought of getting an ear done. I'm not completely convinced that I won't look like a total idiot with an earring yet though.
Does getting your cartilage pierced hurt as much as they say.}~@> Duce_of_Spades

It hurts, yes, but not as bad as I thought it would to be honest. Surprising since it didn't go all the way through the first time and they had to try it twice.

I think eyebrow rings are cool on guys. That's what I voted for. But I also like nose studs on girls. Even though I've only got one hole in ear ear. I would never go for any other kind of piercing for myself even though I like how they look sometimes on other people.

Orange Blossom Can't say I have... where exactly do they pierce for that? Okay, what's a bodice? Think of it. You can get a bodice anywhere. It's a series of metal rings in two rows that you can thread chains or cord or wire through in crisscross patterns.

I've got a nostril screw, and had 7 different ear holes, but I haven't been wearing them religiously.
I can't stretch my ear holes, because I wear a lot of vintage jewelry.
I won't pierce my bellybutton because the way it heals looks...ugly to me.
As for corset piercing, I'd rather pay to have a nice real corset, and have little to no pain. And if I lose or gain weight, it won't make a difference where those little rings end up, or if my skin sags as I age. Kinda like those really cute 'round the tummy tattoos. Some things I don't think I could do. But, whatever floats other folks's goat is fine with me.
The nostril screw didn't hurt when I got it, but the annoying thing is cleaning it. Of course, I no longer have finger up the nose-o-phobia. *shrugs* I did tear up, but I didn't notice until after the whole thing was done and I rolled off the table. I think it's a visceral reaction to having a hole punched in your face, painless or not.

At last count, six ear lobe piercings (4 right, 2 left) and my navel. I'm not one of those people who wears short shirts, so most people don't even know I have it and that's how I like it! blaugh Would love to get my lip done, but I don't want to do anything to my dental work, and it might affect my employment prospects in this city... I think piercings can look hot on a lot of people, but I can't be bothered with major permanent alteration of my body. I try to imagine myself as an 80-year-old oldie with ear expanders and just giggle. Jiggalicious I did tear up, but I didn't notice until after the whole thing was done and I rolled off the table. I think it's a visceral reaction to having a hole punched in your face, painless or not. I know how you felt. When I got my navel done I felt fine until I sat up, then I just about had a shock attack.

I'm old school on this one. I have my ears pierced once, and have since I was 19, and that's it. I don't like piercings (or tattoos either, for that matter) because they alter the natural body and I find them unattractive.

~<The Heir of Slytherin... Sometimes I like them and sometimes I don't. It depends on the piercing (or tattoo), the person, and the location of said piercing...
It'd be neat if they had piercings for avatars though ^_^ ...has arrived!>~

I'm right there with you, Blossom. Some people piercing suits, and some it doesn't. I saw a girl who was pasty as all get out with a labret, and looked terrible, and then a guy who was a beautiful cocoa brown with a gold one...and he looked fabulous. So it's a toss up, just like with any other fashion.
I do know the Indian guys at the gas station and at Wally-World like my nostril screw. Of course, the last time I went in with a sari on, the guy at the register was so enthusiastic! He was telling the girl who worked the food prep area that we (I was with two other non-Indian girls in sari) were gringas, when she asked if we were Indian. I almost rolled on the floor, it was so cute.
I think I've read some of them have fetishes about that, too. After I got my piercing I did a little research. *laughs*
In addition to piercings, I'm hoping they finally do tattoos on here, too. Only thing with the piercing stuff is that they'd have to be pretty big to show up.
