I am 'pleasantly' reminded that I will end up a virgin forever.

Jesus Christ I am going to die when I have to have my first exam. I am a HUGE baby when it comes to pain. And I really don't want a speculum to be the first thing in my vag. I've never had to have an exam before since I was under 18 and not sexually active but since I am 18 now ... I don't think I can hold it off anymore. i've never had one, the thought terrifies me.
i'm pretty sure most people fing the spreading part painful, you're not weird. my friend said it was awful.
besides which penises don't open out into some sort of probing monstrosity once in your vag. they pretty much stay the same shape.

I was sexually active before my first visit so it doesn't bother me.
The pap is a really awful sensation though. Nothing like having something that looks like a mascara brush shoved in your cervix.
I have a gyno visit later this week.
And yeah, Valise, i have heard about that. best thing you can do if you're going in for surgery is write "I do not consent to unneeded educational vaginal/ gynecologic exams. I will file assault charges.' right above your pelvis or on your thigh in Magic marker. Also, show this to your surgeon before surgery and make it clear you will file sexual assault charges against the hospital and staff if it is done to you.
Usually it's enough to make them go 'Dude...alright. We get it stop worrying. We aren't going to do that.'

I find them to be 2 different pains.
When I was getting my cervix scraped, ohh god that was really uncomfortable, I hated it. But yeah getting opened up with those lil clampy things is not cool.
Sex, I mean the p***s is rounded, fits in better. 8]
I have had sex (hem hem) with a several guys and the first time we do it it takes away for them to actually get it in cause I'm so tight sometimes >>
I'd still rather take that over the clamp ANY DAY

WELL APPARENTLY I JUST HAVE THE WIDE OLD v****a OF A GRANNY WHO HAS HAD LIKE SIXTEEN CHILDREN because pap smears have never actually hurt. They're kind of uncomfortable, but it's not terrible. I was scared the first time because I thought the doctor was using a needle so I was like FUUUUUUUUUU but it turned out she wasn't so I was fine. Other than that, I've never really had a bad exam, just like 'oh hey there's something inside of me'.

How come you go to the gyno? I still haven't gone for my annual and I've been sexually active for over a year. I have had pelvic exams though (brief ones, no pap smear or anything) but they don't hurt for me. It probably hurts less if you're not a virgin.

I don't know, I got nervous so I wanted to go check to see if everything was alright. Like I don't have any SURPRISE PROBLEMS. Also I wanted to get birth control because I'm starting my prostitute business. knotrly but I thought I might have PMDD. So she gave me yaz and we're gonna see where it goes from there.

My mum said she used to have the exact same problem and she really hated going because of it.
She told her gyno the last time she went, and it turns out they have a smaller spreader thingy that they can use. So they used the smaller one, and my mum said she didn't even know it was there and when the gyno finished, she was surprised.
So maybe ask about that?
