I want to hear all about your reactions to different parts of the series, the entire series, a single book, and relative topics.

I felt overwhelmed with emotions at the close of this series. Unable to confide my thoughts in my family and friends for fear of a diagnosis of mania, I seek a medium through which to achieve relief. On occasion, I read a piece of writing or view a motion picture and I find that confusion and a lingering presence of said entertainment is superfluous in me. To try my best to summarize my own reaction to this novel, I must note: This book left me wondering and contemplating elements of the story and various conclusions to scenes from the story. Addicted, I have an abnormal desire to spectate and live like some sort of overseer of past, present, and futures of the story. Inevitably, I don't want the tale to end. Like rehabilitated drug addicts, I find myself dissatisfied with reality and yearning for the fictional realm to replace mine. Feelings as strong as love for the book and its characters as well as chronic depression at every reminder that my desire for fiction is insatiable rack my being and trigger chemical-induced thoughts of suicide and organized rebellion against unpleasant establishments of authority and oppression. Thank you for letting my pawn off my silly thoughts upon any souls unfortunate enough to be my audience.

This series has made me cry more than I normally do when reading. When Peeta made his "announcements" I became very giggly. I really hate the careers.
I am Team Peeta, but there were moments in Mockingjay, where I was slightly Team Gale.

Oh, Peeta's various announcements were always a shock to the story, even though you came to expect them after a while. I definitely understand how these books might be provocative of emotion. People praise Shakespeare for his ability to take you on an emotional rollercoaster, and as true as that may be, I really felt that with these books. I don't necessarily dislike any characters in the book, because they all are important to the story, and for that I thank them. I also never really took sides as to which man Katniss should choose to settle with. To me, whatever man she was with or talking about at the time was the most important to the story.

The books always kept me on my toes. My heart always seemed to be racing in the first. In the second, I was wondering what would happen next. In the third, I was really sad. The third made me cry alot. There was so much death and I was surprised that Gale would stoop to Snow's level with the bomb thing. I had alot of emotions while reading the series.

The books didn't make me cry (I never cry about anything) Some parts were so exciting or fantastic to me i was basically having a spaz-out freak attack in my chair! The part where Finnick sacrificed himslef was extremelly shocking and sad to me. The part where Prim died shocked me as well... the second time i read it... it was confusing so i had to read it more than once. I was surprised also at the end when Katniss chose Peeta over Gale, i thought for sure she would have picked Gale just because they were so natural together and her's and peeta's love was mostly just faked (on her part anyway)

I love that Peeta and Katniss got together. I think the struggle for her was that despite knowing how she felt about him, she didn't want to do what the Capitol wanted even if it was what she wanted.
I cried like a baby at the end. But I LOVED it.

The Hunger Games made me gasp and feel excited. The events in the arena were an exhilarating read.
Compared to the other two books, Catching Fire is the least depressing. It had the funniest moments in the entire trilogy imo: "If it weren't for the baby", Finnick's introduction, Katniss saying "I know" to Gale after he confesses his love.
Mockingjay was so emotionally draining. I cried practically every chapter.

The only book in the series that made me cry was Mockingjay, when Prim died. I hated how she got with Peeta because she never seemed to like him and went with him because she seemed sorry for him. Ah well.
