"You wouldn't be the worst of my battle scars," Blake said with an equal mocking tone, though it was in good spirit. A sort of thank you among men in Merthage. "I know the weakness of a Nightmare's power. Don't try to act gentle." It was true, Blake was schooled in defense against every dangerous being. So to an extent that most Nightmare demons didn't even know their own weakness.
Lance nodded, not feeling much of a pressure to speak, and went with S.V. to the other two. He looked over at Blake, which caught the corner of his eye. Blake looked full on them, mostly at Lance. Lance didn't budge his gaze from Blake. So much hatred came from Lance to Blake, though it was understandable. Blake, however, seemed tame. Almost contempt.
"I have freedom from you now, don't I? In legal terms, I am now S.V's property?"
"Correct," Blake replied.
"Then I would like to say this," Lance said to Blake, "You are the lowest scum of the Earth. You have no soul, no compassion, and I hope that when your death comes it is slow and painful and filled with regret. When you die, I will delight myself in the idea of your body rotting underground."
Blake didn't move. In fact, he almost looked relieved. "You've certainly put my mind at ease. I thought for a moment, with all these KIND souls coming to my aid, that I was doing something wrong."
"You are some different breed of despicable."
"You flatter me too much, S.V. really needs to rest himself after such an exciting day, and with darkness fading, I'm afraid I have much work to do." Blake motioned for everyone to clear out.
((I'm stuck babe, sorry! >A<; Gimme a bit. ))

Lance hesitated, but of course obeyed. He didn't close his eyes, mostly out of curiosity over what would happen. "There is a lady at this place?" For a moment, he wondered what she was like. Was she a gracious, beautiful flower with long golden blond hair? Was she gentle as a dove with a voice like silk? He started to imagine, as he held onto S.V, waiting for whatever was about to happen.
Anasophia never stopped worrying, despite objections she went to nervously cleaning every nook and cranny of the place she was allowed in. Cleaning had a way of calming her down, though a couple times she looked almost as if she was going to cry out of worry. Was S.V. and Vlad alright? Was Blake alright? Would they come home soon? It was almost daybreak...
"Okay, travel light, that's good." He took her backpack gently, then thought a moment, "Actually, if you would like to carry it around with you so you have something to do during the journey, you may."
"Is everything ready?" Ren asked, now human. His slow, purposeful steps almost intimidating as he looked at the man, who only smiled and nodded, "All ready for you, Ren. You, Savannah and Nexan should be able to travel comfortably."

"Whoooooooooooooaaaaaaaaa!!!" Lance held tightly onto S.V. as he was lifted up and flown off in the sky. Lance had ever been so high before... And he's slayed dragons. Once they landed, Lance took a bit to recover and walked in slowly. He came in just as a... An alien... Hugging a vampire. Okay.
"S.V.!" Anasophia put down the rag in her hand and ran over as she entered the main room, as Ethan was crying and hugging S.V. "Thank goodness, thank goodness you're alright!" Anasophia cried, smiling so bright that he returned that it truly did seem to brighten the room. It faded a little though, "Oh, but Vlad, and Blake, are they alright, please tell us what happened."
Lance saw this woman, and was surprised. She wasn't what he expected at all. She was short, stubby... She had short brown hair, but then she also had a beautiful pair of eyes and her voice was like silk, as he imagined. Except maybe more like cookies, he imagined a baker's wife when he saw her. Nothing to his liking, but she seemed warm, and he did smile a little at her presence. Finally, a human that didn't lose all of herself. Though she looked most like cattle than any other human he'd seen, she acted like a proud, free and sweet woman. She was very easy to like. Yet she didn't seem to notice his presence at all yet. Nor did anyone else.

"Uh-" He looked down as Flopsy hugged him tight, blushing, as he wasn't used to such contact. He was about to timidly answer some of Flopsy's questions, but then she rushed the alien to the kitchen. Before he could speak, S.V. introduced him to Anasophia, Flopsy and Ethan, as well as Peter, who seemed to not be there at the moment. Food? Shower? Portrait? He blinked. "Wha-uh, um..."
"Oh everyone, things are going much too fast for him. He's not used to this sort of hospitality." Anasophia explained, gently offering her hand to him. "Please allow me to escort you through the routine today. Now, where did S.V. find you?"
He looked at her, then at the staring, smiling faces, then Anasophia again. "The... Dungeon."
"You must be low on blood then, as well as nutrition. Maybe some protein, and a side of steamed vegetables and to drink, a fruit serving?"
"That... Actually does sound nice, ma'am." He took her hand, having remembered it, and kissed it tenderly. As if remembering his manners.
"Have a seat here, then, if you please." Anasophia led him gently toward a table, and he sat there. "What would you like to eat?"
"I don't recall much foods other than that served at the dungeon, but I do remember... Ah, steak and broccoli..."
Anasophia wrote that down, and then with a knowing wink said, "Wine is a wonderful side to that. One wouldn't know it, but wine revitalizes blood, especially red wine, and I know a bottle we have that would go well with your meal." She wrote down the mystery wine, then looked up from her pad a little, seeing how tense he was, and knew a remedy for that as well. "I'm sure you would feel uncomfortable eating alone. Would you like a guest?"
"Well honestly..." He was grateful someone seemed to know exactly how he felt, as if she could feel it, too. He wondered if this motherly nurturing was natural for her. It felt like it. Eating a meal with her wouldn't be too bad, but he also sort of wanted to speak with S.V. and wouldn't mind a meal with him. Though he didn't know if S.V. would have a problem sitting with him.
Anasophia seemed to catch onto it when Lance's gaze went just for a second toward S.V. Anasophia turned around to look at the vampire. "Our guest would like an audience with you, good sir," Anasophia said with her warm smile. "Will you accompany him?"

"Oh, its alright." Lance replied, looking at S.V. "Only I am not used to it, it is sort of... Refreshing. I never knew in all of Merthage there was a place like this." 'What did Flopsy mean about, 'lonely like Annie?'' He looked over at Anasophia, who was a little shy of panicking as she tried to help Flopsy up. "Flopsy dear, are you alright?" The woman asked as she stroked her cheek and looked for any injuries. So much of her reminded him of a mother. 'What sort of past does she have? Anyone in here, in fact.'
He was broken from his thinking when a black painted male barged in and demanded a slab of black marble. Black marble was even more rare than silver here. How would they be able to get the marble this boy that was introduced as Peter wanted so desperately? "My name is Lance, it's a pleasure to meet you, sir Peter." Lance still felt a little out of place, but a tad bit better. This place was so warm... And bright. It was different than the dungeon, or even the environment he grew up in. It was like a different world altogether.
((I'm getting to it. XP I'm trying to catch everyone else up to the timeline. ))
