I had this friend way back in elementary school named Jocelyn...She moved away around grade 5 and I never heard back from her.
She was this timid, laid back kid who loved horses and never argued with anybody. Her mom was a super hardcore Christian who only let her kids listen to Veggietales and didn't let them watch tv. She was, in my opinion, crazy, and she had Jocelyn totally under control.This poor kid had no idea how to form an opinion of her own.
I got a FB friend request today and..wow. Just wow. She apparently had a real doozy of a rebellious teenage phase. In her profile pics she has about 12 different haircuts and 5 hair colors displayed. There's pictures of her in trampy bar clothes, a lowcut grad dress, and all sorts of other strange stuff.
I totally wouldn't recognize her if she passed me on the street. She's also got some boyfriend who's like 4 years older than her and totally slimy looking.
This is just so weird.
Another mindblowing event today... My manager begged me and my friend Stat to take shifts today, as two people had called in sick. When we got there she called us over to the side and gave us each a prepaid $100 Visa giftcard. She said that she was super thankful we could take these shifts, and we were just awesome employees, so we could consider it a combination thank you and Christmas present. Then she told us to shut up and tell no one because she was playing favorites and no one else got anything.
So yeah, ******** of a day.
