Marina Whitewing
[The story is taking place in a small snowy town near the forest. The main hero is a 10 years old boy named Tom. Date: 23rd of December.]
That was another snowy December evening. Tom was sitting on the floor in a guest room. He was all alone as usual. His parents were busy people and tried their hardest to earn money for the family. He knew that what they did was for his own good, but still it was sad. All his friends left the town for holidays and he had no one to come and play with him. So Tom was just sitting and looking out of the window watching the snowflakes as they were slowly falling and falling, covering everything with the soft thick white blanket.
The clock was ticking tick-tock, tick-tock. Minutes were passing by with the speed of an old snail. Suddenly Tom saw that there was something shiny moving behind the window. At first he thought that his parents were coming home earlier, but the light was of a strange blue color with green flashes. Curious he ran to the door, grabbed and quickly put on his winter coat and scarf. As he rushed out, he saw the light moving away and felt himself grow very disappointed. He was ready to return home but something stopped him. He looked at the dim light again. It was still there where he last saw it, at the end of the street. And he ran towards it.
Running and running, Tom tried to catch up with that strange light and when he finally stopped he was already in the middle of the forest, surrounded by hundred years old trees. It was then that he realized that he didn't remember the way back. The light was still there, shining between the trees. Having nothing else to do Tom slowly went towards it. Suddenly the light disappeared. Frightened, the boy ran to the place where it was and found himself standing on a meadow with a small hut in the far end of it. He went to it and knocked. An old lady with sad eyes opened the door and let him in. Inside Tom saw a shiny cat with green and cunning eyes. The cat looked at Tom and it felt as if it was smiling at him. The old lady offered him some tea. Tom didn't realize himself when he started telling that strange woman about himself and his friends, about how lonely it was to wait for the parents to return, about the funny sparrow he saw the day before and much more. The old lady was listening to him silently and her eyes were getting brighter and brighter. Suddenly she smiled and everything around Tom started shining with warm golden light. Surprised, Tom started looking around and when he turned his head back to the old woman he saw a young pretty girl. She looked at Tom with happy and soft expression. Then there was a flash and Tom found himself sitting in his guestroom. The clock was ticking tick-tock and everything seemed to be one but happy dream. The door bell rang and ran to greet his parents.
And the next day Tom found out that he wasn't alone anymore. His parents gave him a kitty who became Tom's best friend. But it wasn't the only present he got for that snowy Christmas. From now on he could understand the language of birds and beasts. That was a gift from the old lady. Tom was never lonely again.
An old folk story tells: in a forest there lives a fairy who is the daughter of Earth itself. She will make your deepest wish come true if you manage to make her happy. Yet people forgot about her and she is always sad, being all alone in her small hut on a meadow in the middle of the forest. Come visit her and your wish will be granted in exchange for her smile.

A long time ago, on a cold November's night, a star shined in the sky. But this was no star, and only those who could see like the eagles in the sky could truly know what this was at this time. It fell, down to the earth, and opened like a ball. Inside it contained a glowing green rock and a baby. But this was no normal baby. He was... SUPERMAN.
Many years later, the baby had grown into a fine man, yet he lacked something. He had no true spirit for what he did. So, on a Christmas night, many things happened to him. But those are for this story, so we shall speak of them thus.
The first thing that happened to him was that a fat, jolly man came to him with a present. He opened it, to find a glowing green rock that pained him. The fat man said that he had been naughty, and should try harder to win the affections of those around the world because of his power.
After this, a tall, lanky man, bone white and in a tuxedo, came to him with a proposition. If he'd become happy and help people, he'd take the green rock away, which of course, he accepted. So he had to find someone to help.
He flew off, towards the East, to find someone to aid, and when he got there, he found armies of men dressed in red, green, and blue fighting a war. He went to each of the leaders and asked why they were fighting. The blue leader, Cao Cao, said "To conquer the lands and bring peace, and a title for each who earns it himself." while the green leader, Liu Bei said "To bring peace to the land and give the people their power that they deserve!" and the red leader, Sun Jian, said "To bring back what was destroyed, and peace along with it."
Superman flew back to where the war was being fought, and made the men stop. He brought to them that they should simply compromise and find a plan that would not only save their lives, but also to bring the goals of the three leaders to fruition. They all agreed, and had a grand council and drew up a treaty that brought peace, prosperity, and happiness to all the land, with not a single life more lost.
However, when the month had passed, and Christmas came closer, the bony man came again to Superman, alerting him of a new dilemma. The fat man had been taken away! He was needed to rescue him from an evil pair of warriors from this very land, named Lu Bu and Dong Zhuo.
So, Superman flew towards their base, a large fortress named Hu Lao Gate, and blew up the giant wrought-iron gate with his laser eyes. He walked in, unnerving all but Dong Zhuo and Lu Bu out of his way. He could see the fat man behind the two of them, and an enchanting woman. However, he simply asked them for the fat man back, not knowing what they would do. Lu Bu charged for him, wielding large double-bladed glaives, which Superman could feel the green rock in. He flew back to stay out of the range, and asked for a weapon so he could fight honorably. Lu Bu acknowledged his honor and threw him a large axe. They fought, until Lu Bu finally conceded defeat and knelt down before Superman. He offered his neck for the death blow, but Superman put down the axe and walked to Dong Zhuo. He asked once more for the fat man, and was obliged this time happily. So he flew the fat man back to where the leaders were at, and they all had a Merry Christmas with lots of presents, and had a concert featuring Rise Against, Three Days Grace, Paramore, Linkin Park, Dragonforce, System of a Down, Nickelback, and a whole bunch more artists that kick the crap out of the system.

The Christmas War
I awoke from my slumber with beads of sweat dripping down my face. Yet again, I had an intense dream. Although, it was quite silly. The dream was about a Christmas fairy who turns evil and eats everybody. It sounds like something from a cartoon, I know! My mother thinks I should see a counselor, but honestly I forbid myself from it.
I mean honestly, everyone dreams weird things about Christmas once in their lifetime right? Besides, being a shy and quiet girl does not help the fact that my mom wants me to talk to someone. I couldn't handle five minutes of talking to some stranger, let alone telling them my problems and dreams, which reminds me, my name is Dahlia Cruz. Not that it is very important though.
Nobody in the world would notice me even if I was in a pink elephant costume, and believe me, I've tried. I'm a short, under weight girl who has the most plain gray eyes, and the most plain black hair. Trust me, girls that resemble me are everywhere! I went into my kitchen to make some nice hot cocoa when suddenly, my phone rang.
"Hello?" My voice rang through the phone.
"Dahlia," The voice began, sounding raspy and out of breath.
"Who is this!?" I demanded, honestly I was scared.
"Dahlia. It's time..." At that instant my back door flew open, and fairies from my dreams flew in with evil grins on their faces. "Do you remember anything I taught you!?" Travis yelled through the phone.
"Yeah! It's only been three years!" I said as I dropped the phone. One of the fairies charged at me, and I did a one-eighty degree turn to dodge her. I quickly grabbed her by her neck and smashed her face into my counter.
"How did you find me I?" I yelled as another one came at me. I threw the one I knocked out on to the floor, and did a high kick, landing a malicious blow to the fairies face. She shrieked in pain yelling in some strange tongue. "No answer then?" I questioned, but in a threatening tone.
"Your scum life will be ended Dreamer!" An ugly yellow one yelled at me. I sighed. Quickly I grabbed a frying pan. The fairies just laughed, and mocked me. Bam! The frying pan hit the wall with a smack, and the fairies turned their heads. I smiled as I grabbed hold of two of them by the wings. The only other fairy that was conscious began to freak out. I gave her an evil smile as I smashed the two fairies faces together. They were out cold instantly. Poor fragile little things. The other fairy fled, and I picked up the phone.
"Where are we meeting?" I demanded.
"Open your front door." Travis replied. I sighed I went through my messy living room to open the front door, and of course, there stood Travis looking exhausted as ever. He had a huge scratch on his face, and I recognized the claw marks instantly.
"Ogres." I stated.
"There were only seven-"
I cut him off,"Only seven? They must have been a hassle. Are they what made you ever so late? I mean dude, it's Christmas eve.."
"There were also possessed unicorns, mutated teddy bears, and really cool tourist attractions." He said. "Besides. I'm only a year and a half late!" He was very cheery. We were supposed to stop Santa's evil twin from ruining Christmas, but because Mr. late guy here, Christmas has been ruined almost two years in a row.
"Looks like this is going to be the best Christmas war ever." I said with a grin on my face.
