Midra had just parted with her friend that lived in desert she visited when she found herself in not so pleasant situation. She knew she had to take some kind of turn after second dune but all her efforts kept bringing her back to same oasis. It was noon when sun became quite unpleasant and Midra decided to take refuge under palm shadows. There was enough food and water here so she decided to wait for sun to start setting before she would try to find that right turn which will lead her back to green pastures. This was promising to be long and boring day and Midra was not too happy about it. Little did she know she was at the edge of desert closer to her home than she hoped to be.

It was hot, hotter then he has first imagined it would be when Kaiser has first decided to take the trek from the forests to this land to find a little adventure. When the day had first begun it hadn't been so unbearable, turning to look behind him, Kaiser was a bit disappointed when he could just see the mountains on the horizion. No turning back now, turning his eyes forward once more Kaiser was determined to see this seemingly horrid landscape with new eyes. It couldn't be that bad if some Soquili actually chose to live out here. Or he assumed they did, as he hadn't seen a single one since he'd set hoof on the sand. Feeling the heat beginning to heat his hide the longer he stood in one place, he quickly began to move once more. Turning his face towards the sky, Kaiser squinted against the harsh glare of the sun. "Where'a a cloud when you need one." He complained with a huff before turning his gaze back to the sand. The area had looked exciting, and different when he had first arrived, but where was the shade, the green? Shaking his mane out Kaiser was a but shocked when he caught a bit of green out of the side of his eye, turning his head to look in the distance, brows pulled together in confusion. Was that there before? Not taking much time wondering, he quickly changed his course heading in the direction of this new greenery. It was a matter of moments when he finally arrived, quickly seeking some shade under one of the trees. Leaning lightly against the trunk of a palm, he took a moment to soak in the much cooler air before looking around. Quickly noticing the mare under another palm, Kaiser straightened and smiled. "Hiding from the sun?" He commented lightly as he moved towards the water for a much wanted drink.

Midra watched stallion as he approached. It seemed he didn't notice her at first. Well she couldn't blame him, the sun was up high and he seemed to have absorbed bit more of it's heat than he wished to. She looked at him bit closer and she had to admit to her self that he was nice looking male specimen. The thing that caught most of her attention were his pale eyes. When he spoke his voice was pleasant to ears. She smiled to her self for her silliness.
'' Yes I am. This time of the day isn't good for taking a walk in the sun. ''
She watched him as he drank water and wondered how long has he been walking till he arrived to the oasis and more importantly from where did he come from. Was this desert his home or could he know a way back to deep forests behind the mountains.
'' Long walk? ''

While taking his drink from the water Kaiser's left ear twisted in her direction and he smiled at her comment before lifting his head with a small laugh. If only he'd known that before he left for his trek through the sand, would have saved him a lot of suffering. Stepping back from the waters edge, Kaiser moved back to the palm he'd leaned briefly on and laid himself down beside it. With his thirst finally sated, and his body slowly returning to a much more comfortable temperature he began relaxed.
Eyes closing briefly, Kaiser gave a slight nod at her question before lifting his gaze to rest on her. "Yeah, trying to find some new sights." Smiling, Kaiser found himself curious about this pretty mare, he'd never seen a horse with a horn, or cloven hooves before. "Wish I knew it would be this hot when I left the forests though." He commented lightly with another soft laugh. Drawing in a deep breath of the cooler air, Kaiser took a moment to glance around the oasis still thankful that such a place existed in all the sand. The idea of someone living in the desert seemed much more plausible while resting in a place like this, though he personally preferred his forest home. Returning his gaze back to the mare it dawned that he hadn't given his name. So with a short dip of his head, he added with a smile. "By the way, my names Kaiser." Leaving the air open for her to introduce herself if she wished.

Ah. A desert newbie. Which doesn't help her much. Midra always thought that curiosity is a good trait because that is what gives courage to individuals to learn new things. Still desert was not a place where one would want to end up in by random chance without any knowledge about dangers that lurk there.
'' First time in desert Kaiser? Your lucky you found this oasis. ''
She gave all her attention to young stallion. The more she looked at him the cuter he seemed to her which made her smile softly.
'' My name is Midra. ''

Kaiser let out a deep chuckle at her words and glanced at the small paradise around him. "Can't argue with you there, guess someone was smiling down on me." He noted looking up towards the sky with a smile before turning his attention back towards the mare as she mentioned her name. "Midra." He spoke to himself, testing the name for a moment his kind smile lingering as he nodded lightly. "It's pretty." Kaiser commented politely, his body relaxing beside the pond. Aside from the horrible heat, he was quite enjoying himself at the moment. The oasis had a alluring atmosphere about it, he'd be sure to try and return on a cooler day in the future. There was only the question of how he would get home from here. Perhaps he would wait until the sun set to head out once more.
Hopefully he'd remember the way. Letting out a breathy laugh at that he picked himself off the ground and looked in the direction he'd come in. "Do you live here Midra?" The stallion commented lightly, hoping she would say yes. For even though he had a general idea of the direction, he's much prefer a clear direction over one that may leave him wandering the night. But at least in his mind, his would have to hit the forest eventually!

Midra was pleased he stallion was amused. She liked outgoing stallions with a good sense for humor. Sadly for both of them she wasn't from around here, which meant they both were hopeless. Still she wasn't going to allow that get her spirit down.
'' No sadly I don't live here. But! I know for a fact that we are close to exit from here. We just need to make a right turn. ''
Yea a right turn at a right place. Something she was failing to do this whole morning which made her walk in circles. On the other hand if she had luck in making right turn earlier she wouldn't have met this intriguing stallion. So no matter how she turned things she couldn't lose.
