At first, there were the four elements: Earth, Air, Water, and Fire. But over time, those elements have formed into sub-elements with minor spheres of control over part of the element. They are more common than controlling a whole element. But even controling a minor part of an element is still rare today. Many people who possess the magic don't even realize it. Some find out about it though. They are the ones that decide the fate of the future.
The controllers have been scouting out new recruits who have the ability to possess these elements. They are indesperate need of new people to join their "clan". The Darkness is coming to attack the Earth, and it will be a hard war to win.

Let me explain the darkness:
The Darkness is an evil force of nature that is trying to take over the solar system. It has already taken over Mars, Neptune, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Pluto, and now it is heading for Earth. After that it's going to go after Venus and Mercury, then the sun. After that, it's going to try to take over the whole galaxy, then the universe.
Yeah, not good. At all.
There are many warriors fighting for the Darkness' side. Some of them are mortals, some of them are different creatures of the night. They out-number the people who possess the magic of an element. And all of the people who possess the magic to control an element are all mortal.
So far, the outcomes don't look good.
The fate of the earth depends on them. Let's hope they fight a good fight.
