I started to watch that new AMC show, The Walking Dead, and it's Freaking AWESOME!

Ever since Lost came out, nearly all scifi and fantasy programs afterward seemed to try and copy it's "success". Even good 'ol Stargate had cut it's title screen into a Lost-like flash for a few episodes (it got a negative viewer response) and the remake of The Prisoner tried to be as mysterious and puzzling, it got canceled.

But this show is AWESOME! It starts with a sheriff, He was shot in the chest when everything was normal and wakes up in an abandoned hospital in the middle of a zombie apocalypse!

The visual effect are very good, it's like watching an actual movie. A Zombie movie with developed characters and the women do more than just scream, wear bikinis, and get stripped by zombies when they try to escape.

Holy crap! I was surfing around randomly on Youtube, and I learned that the zombie torso in the show which I though was a really good animatronic was actually a woman in make-up! THIS SHOW DESERVES A FREAKING EMMY! And it's only 4 episodes in!

On the note of the zombie torso, can zombies starve to "death"?

I don't like the "dead" zombie theory seeing as muscles need oxygen and nutrients to operate. That's my only conflict with the show. Though I can understand it's from a comic book and more about drama and action than biology.
Also, I absolutely love the fact that they aren't just firing fully automatic weapons everywhere and just one shot brings a horde forcing them to hide.

It says: "Based off the Graphic Novel" at the beginning of every episode during the credits.

Is it just me or is the main group of survivors going through an ethnic cleansing!? D=

The first two Black guys we see are gone in the first episode. Then they split from the Hispanic family. Now they've gone and killed the Black lady leaving them with one token Black guy and one token Asian guy!! ;A;

Really, why did they kill off the Black lady!? Was she caught drunk driving or something and they fired her!?!? It makes ABSOLUTELY NO SENSE to kill off her character who appeared strong and independent at the start of this series!! Why did the old man not go back for her instead of the depressed and emotionally compromised girl who just lost the last of her family and keeps talking about no future!?!?!?

*sigh* Well, the series DOES take place in Georgia. . . .I shouldn't be surprised I guess. . . . .

The creator of the comic book said in a interview that no one is safe. He might even kill of the main character because the story is not about they group its about surviving in a zombie infected world or something close to that.
