Okay, pretty much I am a bit confused about the character himself... Okay, to the point, how old is he? According to the video clips from when he hacked into Serano's cyberbrain, he would of had to be a young man out of college, I can only assume. But, in the 'present', he has the appearance of a young adult but is refered to as a 'kid' by the Major. So.. is he old.. is he young... or is Motoko really hiding her age and is she an old woman in a young body? (Like Corsicova.)

Motoko probably called him kid just because she is older than him. its been a short while since i saw the end of season 1, so i can forget things.

I'd say Aoi is old but not older than Major. He seems to have a very complex way of thinking and talking so he could be a young adult. But there are some really intellectual teens out there so I could be wrong.

I think he is a teen.
In the GITS:SAC 2nd GIG DVD extras they had an interview with the guy who had to do Aoi's voice and he refered to him as a teen.

It's been hinted that the Major is in her late 30's, so it's more than likely he's younger than her. Sometimes people refer to people, that are older than they are, as "kid" because they lack maturity, or are considered less mature than the one speaking. I do it all the time.
