~Ranks~
Every good history student knows of the caste system used by the monarchies back in ye old 13th century. But here on Mobius, it works differently (Gender equality!)
King + Queen Prince + Princess Earls + Ladies Dukes + Duchesses Royal Advisers Priests Monks Knights + Wizards Landlords Serfs Peasants The Miserable
+ = Same rank, different positions
All are playable characters, but certain positions can only be filled by one person.
King and Queen, Prince and Princess They rule this land of Camelot, and hold great power. Anything they say will go unchallenged, and will only answer to the Lord above. But with great power comes great responsibility, and they are usually the subjects of many arguments and riots. They cannot be seen in public, and if they happen to go out, there are many who will recognize the prolific faces of the royal family. (max players 4)
Earls and Ladies, Dukes and Duchesses Almost of the same rank as the Royal family, but able to travel more. They are the nobility of Mobius, and use their vast wealth to buy essentially what they want. However, being so close yet so fa from power has left many corrupt and willing to get their white gloves dirty if they have to. (max players 8 )
Royal Advisers They live beautifully, they eat well, and they keep watch over the troublesome son and daughter. Nannies, in a sense. They keep watch for the family and know all the secret tunnels and passageways of the castle and countryside. (max players 3)
Priests and Monks The keepers of the faith in Camelot, they provide shelter for the sick and poor, and give riveting Sunday services. Generally good people, the Priests handle the ceremonious tasks while the monks dole out the dirty work, sweeping and cooking and living quite simply. Monks have given up their worldly goods in favor of this life, but this life of servitude serves their joyous natures well. (max players 10)
Knights and Wizards The protectors of the land, the wielders of the right and just, knights stalk the land in search of evil to vanquish. Along with their friends, the wizards, they are quite good at destroying that which threatens the kingdom. Many knights are male, with few exceptions, and vice versa with wizardry. Knights tend to be slow with the right amount of armor, anything less could spell disaster. Wizards are not quick with their magic, the rituals for such miracles take time. The quickest spell at most would take ten minutes to complete, so they mostly rely on potions to make their magic. (max players 8 each)
Landlords, Serfs, Peasants and Miserable All people not of noble birth are thrown here. Landlords are the richest, and tend to be the most demanding, always wanting to reach the top of the ladder. Serfs work upon the Landlord's farms to provide food for their families, and are rather submissive. Peasants are the average everyday folk, some are better off than others. General jobs go here under peasant, like Blacksmith or Merchant. The Miserable are the dredges of society, the unwanted and downtrodden. They are the push arounds, the ones begging for food in the street. (unlimited players)

~The Creatures~
The creatures here are not like the monsters below. Most are intelligent creatures, capable of reason and good intent. Be warned: most are mischievous and misleading.
The Dragons: Several alive, frequent high mountain ranges, rivers and caves The kings of earth and sky, dragons are only rivaled in their majesty and skill by the Gryphons. Greater Dragons, as they have come to be called with the appearance of the Lesser Dragons, love the shine of a jewel, and will use a fair wit and fairer tongue to guile you away from your riches. They are quite large, with scales of fantastic colors and wings larger than a hillside. Most will help weary travelers on their quests, and expect only a slight payment in return, but due to recent circumstances, none have been seen around the kingdom lately.
The Gryphons: Numerous alive, frequent high mountains and plains, seen lately around livestock ranges They are the bearers of good luck and fortune, and Gryphons are much, MUCH more trustworthy than the dragons. Most expect a fish or piece of fresh meat as payment for their services, and are more than eager to help travelers. They are highly intelligent creatures, and cannot be fooled easily. They are fond of blacksmithing and will sometimes commission armor in exchange for gold they have fooled out of the dragons' lairs.
The Unicorns: Numerous alive, live in deep forests Do not be fooled by the childish notions and ideas of unicorns that the world has force fed you over the years. Unicorns are narcissists. They love you gaze at their pretty heads in any body of water, and joke, and laugh and romp around meadows, just out of your line of sight. Unicorns will find any flaw that you have, and degrade you until you whimper away from their presence. They can't stand ugly, and despite their own flaws, they can be quite helpful. Offerings of fruits or vegetables will put you on their good sides, and may probe quite useful if you manage to befriend one. They are swift and sure footed, and can help you flee danger in an instant.
~The Monsters~
Here, there be furious and gruesome beasts. This will be a list of known monsters and locations, dead or alive.
The Minotaur: Living, location unknown The ring leader of the bands of monsters that roam about, he is not the most intelligent of the group. He is capable of speech, however limited his vocabulary. With the head of a bull and the torso of a man, he id neither Mobian, nor beast. He towers at a height of ten feet, and wears armor. He carries a hammer, a devastating weapon at that. Extremely dangerous, anyone who sees this monster very rarely lives to tell the tale. It is advised you avoid it at all costs.
The Chimera: Living, located on the outskirts of the farmlands, near the Norther Border A beast of fantastic proportion, the Chimera stalks the countryside, hungry for the flesh of others. It bears two heads, the lion and the goat, and a snake for a tail. At the shoulder, it measures eight feet. If being trampled to death under it's tonnage doesn't do you in, a triple threat awaits you: the venom of it's tail can fell an elephant, the lion's head will devour your body, and the goat will gore you with it's two pointed horns, and maybe eat your armor. Extremely dangerous, only skilled warriors should approach this beast, and hope that death comes swiftly after the creature is slain.
Harpies: Three dead, one assumed to be roaming about the mountains around Camelot The Harpy is an ungodly female bird creature from the highest peaks of the mountains, living off of livestock at the occasional villager. They are capable of speech and reasoning, though neither are much good. They only want to be fed and pampered, and they want to breed. They want to further their race, and make sure they do anything to get it. Moderately dangerous, men have been known to be swept up by these things and carried off. Women are usually killed on sight.
Lower Dragons: Numerous alive, frequent waterways and rivers Unlike their intelligent and rare counterparts, lower dragons cannot speak or fly. They can perform the most remedial of magics, and secrete a highly flammable venom that they use to immobilize and eat prey. They have a fondness for shiny objects. Moderately dangerous, approach with caution.
Goblins: Thousands upon thousands, everywhere The cockroaches of the monster world. They are small and grotesque, but rather industrious. With rather primitive intellects and a need to expand constantly, they have become minimal threats to Camelot. Mostly, they are just annoying. But their numbers are growing, and fires are seen at their camps, along with loud banging and the resounding sound of metal. Minimal threat. If they happen to bite you, wash out the wound with soap and get a priest to bless you.
More to be added later. PM any monsters you can think of.

~The Skeleton~
This skeleton should be filled out completely, and with an amount of literacy. Please, keep your stories relative to the time period! PM all profiles to myself, and title them with your character's name. If multiple characters are going in, title it Medieval RP or something of the sort.
ALSO: FOr now, I am not accepting anymore knights until we have some of teh other positions filled. Seeing as we only have 4 spots left for knights, and I don't want all of them to be female. (Male dominated spot)
• Username: • Name: • Age: • Gender: • Species: • Rank: • Personality: • Background Summary: • Good, Neutral or Evil?: • Abilities: • Weaknesses: • Appearance:
Keep in mind, your characters are subject to the beliefs of the time. Any magic that wasn't wizardry was considered demonic. Instant magic is one of those. Demons are exorcised by the church, so demonic powers should be kept in check or hidden. KNIGHTS: Every good knight has an epic name. Names should be kept of the time period though, and for this, I have a list of actual knights mentioned in Arthurian legend. I will strike out names here as they are taken. Sir SeverauseSir Azreal Sir Rowan Sir LavianKnights of the Round

"Honestly, I don't know what they're so afraid of. It's not like there's anything else to do around here" "My lady, they are not all like you and Sir Azreal. Well, you. I have no idea why he's still here, he sits around like a newborn babe, whining and crying for his mother's bosom. A lazy bum, that's all he is"
The fox rolled her eyes, and stared daggers at the hooded meerkat, who plucked his lute carelessly, watching the activity surrounding the village below. Commoners milled about below the hilltops, running their lives like they always had. This country was strange and new to her. She did not like this place for it's people, but rather the challenges that lay ahead for her and her companions. But slowly, it would come to pass. Her eyes watched the darkening skies for any sign of her returning sibling. "Where is he? He said he would be back before sundown"
Sammael sighed and put down his instrument, and pulled out his journal. "'The knight so bold and of gentle heart, the bringer of light when nothing is dark The sun does shine upon his helm When he sleep beneath the regal elm'. Honestly, AJ, I don't know why you keep him around. He does nothing but sleep. How he even became a knight, I haven't the foggiest idea"
AJ rolled her eyes again. "How I haven't pummeled you into a pulp by now is beyond me too. He'll show. Eventually."

As the conversation between the two commenced, a figure off in the far distance of town was seen lying upon the ground underneath a tree. While he wore the armor suited for a Knight, his attitude sure didn't go along with the concept. That said, he was snoozing away the daylight instead of being on guard and ready. As time passed, the figure probably would have continued to sleep, had a horse galloping nearby hadn't kicked up a hefty pile of dirt at him. With dirt sifting through his helmet and into his face, the figure shot up onto his feet, immediately throwing the helmet down to the ground. At this point, it was now obvious that the bearer of Knight armor was a two-colored green hedgehog. Blinking a moment as he tried to recompose himself, he noticed the clump of dirt against his breastplate. Grimacing as he wiped it off, his eyes gazed over to the distant sun. Sundown... OH s**t!!! Picking his helmet back up, he was about to run when he noticed the group of people nearby. Oh... damn it! Sighing, he went with the next best thing, jogging, and quickly made his way to the rendezvous point...

From the sky, he descended. Shoulders burning, muscles tight, the wind rushed past his ears at a breakneck speed. This was life. This was his life, sadly so. His target lay just out of reach, that knight was his. With a pathetic roar, he barreled to the ground, swiftly transitioning to a soft lope beside his friend. "Late again, Azreal? You know what happens now, right?" he laughed, and pushed ahead, waving his bushy tail out of the hedgehog's reach. Scouting missions were not his favorite thing to do, but he didn't have to carry his materials when he did so, and that was a relief in itself. His magic was not an easy burden to bear, however useful it was. From his leading position, Nuki pushed harder, flapping his wings to get an edge on Wave, knowing full well his potential for speed, and the ease of being caught in such a state. He hoped any passerbys would see him as a small white horse, with a blanket on it's sides or something of the sort. A dragon was not easily hidden in these parts. Especially with so few being seen now that the attacks had gotten worse...

A distant shouting drew Sam's attention to that of the dragon and his accomplice galloping towards them at a frantic speed. Quickly, the meerkat stood up, and frowned, prodding the fox with his boot. "Looks like we have company" he said, and scoffed at her apparent lack of interest. AJ stood up with a groan, the scattered bits of armor she wore clinking together like bells. Proper armor had no place for a monster slayer much like herself, and so she had to make do with what she had. A brief frown dashed across her face, before it melted into a smile. At least they were together again. "What took ye' so long? You realized I coulda been attacked by a horde of nasty little gobblers while you two were off marauding about" she said, and smiled as she sat back down against her tree. Sam frowned, and put his journal back in his coat pocket, grumbling something about mop headed mothers and scaly spines. Nuki smiled, and rummaged through his pack behind the tree. Being this large wasn't going to help them in the village, where he could be easily spotted. "Oh, hush, sister. The goblins are staying far from the village. I spotted a few lesser dragons by the river, but they didn't seem like they were heading towards town. Or else that would be bad"
