Severin let Minowa lead him away, thankful to be away from prying eyes. As a transplant, and a doctor, in this hospital he was always being watched. That was something he shared with Inka now-- always watched, always judged, always noticed. When the young boy began to talk, Severin listened intently. Gentle but focused blue eyes watched Minowa as he recalled what he could. From what he heard, he sounded much the same-- Kirigakure Severin worked too much, worried too much, cared too much. Somehow that was a relief to him. Severin smiled softly, his heart tugging softly.
"Yeah, I still work a lot. Too much, if you ask Kagerou." The Raigyo let out a soft breath and a small amount of tension left his body. He hadn't changed, not in the ways that truly counted. His soul was still him even after all this time. The fears he had that he had changed too much, become someone else, began to fade slightly. "Thank you, Min. This means a lot to me." The medic closed his eyes for a second, then opened them again and gave Minowa a warm smile. "If I ever change too much, let me know, okay?"

The boy gave a small hum at the mention of asking Kagerou about Severin's work ethic, sounding like he didn't see the need to do that. If he already knew the answer, he didn't need to ask for confirmation. "You'll know because I'll use a Kai Release on you." Minowa rebutted immediately. He blinked, taking a second to pause and continue on with. "I'm only partly joking." He clarifies. "I know people act weird for a lot of different reasons I don't understand." The genin reveals. "Did you have anything else you'd like to ask me?" He queried, seemingly at ease with their current discussion.

The white haired man shook his head, opting to ruffle Minowa's hair softly one more time. "No, that was all. Thank you again." Crouching down, dropping his hand back down to his side once again, Severin leveled with the boy. "An if you ever hear about any lost pets, let me know. I'll help if you're having a hard time."
With a wink, Sev straightened up and walked off to complete that paperwork. He felt lighter than he did before. Minowa was a cute kid, and although he was brazen, he meant well.

Bright blue eyes softened at the touch, pupils narrowing slightly in order to focus past the moving strands of hair, Itoko once more taking the opportunity to sniff Severin's hand. The genin chooses to hum to show is acceptance of the words of thanks before going to speak once more. "If its more important than hospital work." After adding the clause, seeing Severin return to work, and his apology delivered, Minowa promptly took the opportunity to leave the building before he could get ambushed once again.
As soon as he left the building and found a grassy patch of grass, Itoko quickly scrambled down the Genin's scrawny frame to stretch and rough house around in the dirt, getting out his stored up energy after having to deal with such a stressful ordeal.
