And I want periods even less. I'm open to adoption someday but I am not bearing a child.
I am 22 years old, I have felt this way since I was a child and didn't know how pregnancy works. If you are trying to argue with me about this, just accept that I am flawed in some way. I don't care what you say, I don't want a child and I never will.
THAT said. Getting rid of my lady organs isn't exactly an option right now, but periods would be nice. Especially considering that my usually leave me bedridden for 24+ hours.
I saw nora say something about no periods anymore? ;w; HOW DOES THAT WORK. HOW CAN I DO THAT.
Seriously. I don't need 'em.

I could have googled some answers for you but you could have done that just as easily. So really you should talk to your doctor.
They're much more likely to know what the options are, as well as what the risks are, personal to YOU because they know your medical history.
You can get all the personal testimony you want here, or people who just googled the answer, but it seems silly, or even downright reckless, to rely on the fraught medical knowledge the LSG would provide, and personal testimonies are not necessarily what would happen to you.

Yeah talking to a doctor is probably your best bet. I've heard of birth control that gives you like, 3 periods a year.

Home surgery.
Alternatively, birth control.

I just typed up "periods and birth control". Try http://www.noperiod.com/ , I didn't read into it much but it was one of the first results and seems like it could have some handy info.

I would love that.
I feel guilty cuz y'know. People all over the world are trying to conceive and here I am (most likely) fertile and miserable. |:

There are pills out there (loestrin, seasonelle, etc) that will give you four periods a year. basically instead of three weeks-period week, it's month-month-three weeks- period week.
After a while of being on birth control you don't even get one at all, my week without is usually one day of spotting at most. It's GLORIOUS LET ME TELL YOU. I was sick as hell when I had them, too.
I'm gonna shoot you a link to something that might help you but please promise to not just take my word and do research until you feel comfortable.

I glanced it over, thank you. <3 I'll read into it more closely when I gave some free time and a chance to DO something about it. XD

I've felt the same way for many years too.
Periods cause me so many problems, and if I'm the tiniest bit late I stress out and sometimes make myself sick.
I've talked to my doctor about getting it all "ripped out" but she won't do it because I'm "too young".
They think I'll change my mind about wanting to have my own child, it's really frustrating. I think I'm old enough to make up my own mind about that.
Adoption is much more important to me. It just makes more sense in my mind to adopt a child that needs a home than to bring another child into the world.
...I don't know if that's cold sounding or not.
Seriously though Stef, if you feel this way and have for a long time I hope that a doctor can help you.
