Quote: Well, unless you have an a*****e for an older sibling like me, i guess that there isn't any other way to do it other than tel them yourself... my sister found out and called my parents and told them... and all was good... they said they still loved me no mater what... but other than that, no, i have no ideas... sorry...

Just explain that you have something serious to tell them. Say it may be something that you might not like, but it's who I am and I need your support.
Just explain how long that you've known yourself. Tell them that you really think that this is what you want/need. Hopefully they'll understand.

I was almost in tears when i had to tell my father. (is a girl IRL) i was blackmailed into telling him by my girlfriends mother. But when i did spit it out, he was very understanding. Just be calm and tell them what you're thinking. That's all i can really say

Hm.. I guess it all depends how old you are. Like if you're living at home or not. I told my parents when I got the first serious girlfriend ( iwas 15 at the time) and they said that they thought it was weird but they accepted it because I am their daughter.
Oh.. and there arent such a thing called " right time" But do have in mind that they might get dissapointed or angry. But just explain that this they way you are and you're the same person as you were before you came out

I'd love to help you out, but I don't think my coming out experience would be of any value to you. I got damn lucky with my entire family. My parents are the ones who pulled me out of the closet and told me that being gay was ok. I owe them my life and so much more. (I was having major emotional problems at the time and had attempted suicide.) It was an interesting time in my life and one I don't regret.
PM me if you'd like. Maybe, I can come up with something else. domokun
