Hey guys, had a question for anyone here who cosplays. I am interested in making a Skull Man cosplay for Halloween or even another con, but most of the ones I have seen online at cosplay.com have most of there stuff professionally made.
Anyone here know of places I could get a similar outfit and mod it, or know how to make Toku cosplays from scratch?
Any help would be appreciated.

I actually have never made one, but I'll give you heads up.
Trouble with making it from scratch is that its just that, making it from scratch. It involves a lot of sewing and man hours to make the costume, helmet, and any other accessories you want to have. Also for some stuff, you'll probably will have to improvise to make parts of the costume. Not sayin' you shouldn't do it (Making it from scratch, just giving you a heads up).

Jes speaks the truth. And sadly it takes a long time to make a cosplay. In truth you might not have it done before halloween. My advice is to look up some vids on youtube. i found one guy that was doing a "big One" cosplay from the sentai series "J.A.K.Q"

One thing you'll have problems with are the helmets/masks/whatever. Most dedicated cosplayers make the stuff out of resin, but it's not an easy thing to do.
searching on Ebay international might help you find premade helmets and parts like, for Kamen Riders, henshin belts and what not, but one of the harder things to do for cosplays is the helmet. Everything else? Depending on your level of creative skill can be done with ordinary craft ideas like paper mache(sp) or plaster of paris if you don't mind the collective weight of the suit.

if you have lots of monies you can always order a biker helmet to be made...
