Saddest Death? [MEGA SPOILERS]

In both the manga and anime, who do you think has the saddest death? This doesn't neccesarily mean the way they died, but how sad it was that they did die.

Mine would have to go to Mello. He spent his entire life being second place, constantly losing to Near, and then he died, and his last act was so that Near could beat him one last time.

You don't get any sadder than that.

I didn't have any room on the poll left for Misa (Suicide/Off screen death) or Teru Mikami (Suicide (anime)/Heart attack (manga), so if they are your choices, just say in a reply wink

Matt. He just appeared then BANG! bye bye. I just opened my eyes and he was there, i blinked once and he was gone. o.o
He deserved more screen time.

I support L, but I have to say that Light's was the saddest mainly because that meant that the series was over and because Ryuk was such a jerk about it burning_eyes

Ryuk's always a jerk! That's why we love him!! lol, nah L was the saddest...Although he did die knowing that he was right. He died with Light grinning at him, proving he was Kira, and that L had been right all along...But L never got to prove it...

For me the saddest death is a three way tie.

Light- I mean sure we expected it, but he got shot twice first. Then, he was given the heart attack and just died on that stairway.

Matt- He surrendered, but they just went and shot him anyway--what's that all about?

Mello- He tried to outdo Near, but died just to work with him. Sure he killed people, but it's not easy always being number 2.

They were good at heart. crying

id say Watari he was awesome in my opinion and he had served L for who knows how long and died trying to protect him and the rest of the task forse all because Light wanted to make a new world where a killer was the supreme justice

oh em frikkin gee i was like crying my eyes out when L, Watari, and Soichiro died!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (And just to let you all know, Yesterday ((February 4th 2011)) was Misa Amane's death day.)
