Warning; Praeclarus Pastures is located in Canada, so it is a little cold here. Don't have to worry about being to cold unless you want to write it into a story. There is a lake, and a forest across the lake. Click here to learn more  Laetatio Wanders around the far side of Praeclarus Pasture, no one is really around this part of the lake, its the welcoming area. No one visits...
*sigh* I sit here, talking to myself, but no one ever comes. What I would give for someone to come by. I don't even care if they are miserable, I would prefer it. I want to make people happy!
Laetatio stares at the forest across the lake....

 ...And while Laetatio stared into the forest, there might have been a pair of eyes peering back at him.
Bright, red eyes. Gleaming and shining, catching the smallest ray of sunshine darting in through the branches.
It could, possibly, seem a little creepy of Via to be standing there.. watching... standing quite still. But she had been traveling, on her way to her own home pasture and taking a shortcut (always a bad idea!) through the forest... when she spotted movement.
And that movement caught her attention, but the pony she saw kept her gaze. Purple and soft yellow, with wings! How beautiful... It was all the motivation she needed to go bolting through the trees, though not towards her own homestead! But in the direction that, she hoped, would take her closer to the pony she'd seen across the way.

 Singing a tune- actually, a collection of random notes- Miu drifted along the border of a rather thin forest. Peering around a surprisingly wide tree, Miu mumbled to herself as her hidden eyes fell upon a decent sized lake.
Ah! Water!
Considering she wasn't really sure where she was... And she was very likely a good distance away from her pasture and hadn't had a drink in a while... Miu did the most obvious thing and galloped out of the forest and right into the lake.
The rather COLD lake.
"Thorns!" she cried- no, not saying there were thorns in the water, it was simply a word she had adopted to express her unhappiness, using it as something of an expletive.
She leapt out of the water and shook the water off along the shore, shivering with the cold.

One ear twitched. Splashing? That could only mean one of two things.
A tree had fallen somewhere in the forest, landing in the lake.
Or...
There was another pony around!
Via had her sights set on the lovely winged pony, but curiosity had a strong pull on her as well. All four legs careened to the right and she swerved deftly around the trunk of a very large, very old tree, darting half towards her initial direction and half towards the sound she heard.
Once her head finally broke through the maze of trees, and she came to gallop across the water's edge, Via saw.. indeed! Another pony. Whose bright pink mane and pretty contrasting pelt were also, to her.. "Beautiful."
Oops! Was that out loud?!

Just as Laetatio looks into the forest he sees something off into the distance, he could have sworn he seen someone moving around in there. All he saw was a flash of red. He made his way closer to the edge of the lake, debating just flying across.
As he approached the waters edge, he notices a pony run into the lake and quickly run out. Shocked by this, since it was fall and the lake was kinda cold, he jumped into the air and soared across the lake.
Oh My, are you alright?! That water is pretty cold, I'm guessing you've never been here before. Laetatio chuckled, but soon realized the pony did not find this amusing. He noticed she was shivering. He wrapped one wing around her to try and warm her up. Here, that should help a little until we get you a blanket
Laetatio looked at the pony, noticing she wasn't the same red that he saw earlier.
Hey, you didn't happen to see another pony wondering around before you went on your polar bear dip?

 Suddenly a dashing stallion comes into view running around the lake, with what looked like a blanket in his mouth. He ran right up to the pony that he heard go into the water. He was concerned, it was cold and he didn't want anyone to catch a cold on his watch.
*wraps the blanked around the pink haired pony*
Well there you go little lady, that should do you. My name is Evigilo, but you can just call me Evi. Just then he notices what Laetatio was staring at. Oh, we have two guests, so what are your names?
*nudges Laetatio to introduce himself*

Via hoped, though perhaps in vain, that her rather odd outburst had gone unheard. Or would go ignored, for the winged pony seemed to flap those powerful wings only once before he landed on the opposite bank!
Two new friends! So much more enjoyable than running the rest of the way home. Her pasture was so boring -- Via already knew the ponies there quite well. But getting to know these two, that was new and incredibly exciting!
"I am dry," she replied at first, almost proudly. "It's too chilly to swim, you'll catch a terrible cold if you---"
Another voice caught her off guard and Via jumped, marginally, to the side when the sound hit her ears. With her attention on the new arrival, Via's muzzle broke out into a wide, beaming grin.
Now there were three of them!
"I'm Via!" she chirped loudly, to answer Evigilo's question. "It's nice to meet you.."

Laetatio stares at the pink coloured pony, he had never seen any colour in his life. Even though he had wings, he didn't travel to far. And the only two females in the pasture were dark colored. She seemed quite nervous to meet us.
Pardon me miss, I was just so surprised! I am Laetatio, call me L for short. Nice to meet you Via. What a nice name.
L was very happy to meet other ponies. and dispute the fact the wet pony now had a blanket, he still had his wing wrapped around her just in case.

Miu remained completely silent while the ponies fussed around her, making no moves to encourage or discourage the attentions she was getting.
In lieu of answering, Miu simply wiggled under the blanket and the proffered wing, taking comfort in the warmth provided by both.
To be honest, she was confused.
Her own pasture tended to ignore her because she was, admittedly, quite strange.
Through her now wet and matted mane, Miu stared intently at the others, examining them physically before her ears caught up and she realised they were speaking.
Finally she spoke up, "I am Miu." she said softly, her voice holding a hint of confusion.

Her smile hardly wavered as two other introductions were offered and her head dipped towards Laetatio and then Miu as either pony spoke.
"It's nice to meet all of you," she replied, amending her previous reply.
Poking her front hooves against the ground, Via slyly stepped in closer to the group. Each one was unique and lovely.. Miu's mane was so bright and pink... Laetatio had wings like Via had never seen before... but her attention quickly shifted once more, to Evigilo this time.
His tail, it was massive. Fluffy and two-toned, it looked like a beacon and Via couldn't help herself. Two steps inched her in closer to him and one leg lifted, giving his lush tail a good fwoosh with the end of hoof. "Pretty," she said, appreciatively. "How did you know we needed a blanket? Are you psychic?"

Evi could sense that Miu was kind of nervous. He knew she would be alright in L's care, so he decided he needed to get back to more important things.
Well its very nice to meet you Miu, don't be to worried about the water. Its not often we get visitors. I should make a sign. Anyways, nice to meet you as well Via, I heard a splash. I know no one swims at this time of year. I am the caretaker of the pasture. I have a sense you know. You both are in very good care here. L will take great care of you
Evi paused L, you better stay away from the Stables, the captian is here. L felt Miu shift, but didn't think anything of it. He just wanted to make her happy.
Well you do speak! I am very excited, I was worried you got it shocked right out of you!
L looked at Evi Oh no, how long is she staying for? pausing for a second L dismissed the distaste and focused back on the vistors
Anyways, Welcome to Praeclarus Pastures! Just ignore the comment about the captian, we have a tenant that doesn't like to socialize. But don't be too put off my our strangeness, I promise this is a really nice place to vist! While L talked to the visitors, Evi trots off mumbling something about a sign.

 Water... Food... How long had Palaemon been wondering through these woods? It felt like days, weeks, months!! (Really it had only been an hour or so.)
The pine needles crunched beneath his hooves as he trudged through the thick branches of the trees, his eyes darting from left to right as he searched for any sign of an exit, his ears perking up ever so slightly when he heard the sound of distant voices and then the splashing of..water? Water?!
His eyes lit up at the though of having a drink and with all of his energy he burst forward into a hard gallop, propelling himself out of the woods and straight into the lake.
"Water!! Palaemon is thirsty!!" He glanced at the other ponies for just a moment before shoving his head into the lake to begin taking large gulps of the water.

Laetatio was surprised again as a brown flash ran towards the lake. He flew up into the air, scared we would have a repeat of Miu, but the brown blur stopped and dunked its head into the water.
L settled back down on the ground
I take it you didn't hear introductions, I am L. And these lovely ladies are Miu and Via. Traveling long have you? All 3 of you must have gotten lost, you are the first ever visitors this far north.

Miu's eyes shifted as everybody spoke, her attention drawn, instead, to the striped pony making noise in the water. She blinked when she realised that this pony had done the same as her. She noticed, with a start, that it didn't jump out as quickly as she had.
A small pang of jealousy hit Miu and she, instead, turned away from the pony.
"Nice... To meet you, too." very barely noticeable was an accent, lurking under Miu's quiet voice.
She shifted under the wing again, masked eyes peering up to the pony that had been covering her. "Strangeness." she asked, though it was more of a statement, ignoring the entrance of the other pony to the 'party'.
