It was yesterday, with me already being a bit depressed about exams. For some reason I remembered my sibs back home with grandma. In all my existence, this was my first year to be apart from them. I was going to be in college, my sibs still had highschool. I had to study in the city while they had to stay with our grandmother.
Yesterday, I cried silent tears. Just like that. It was so painful, since I haven't cried for the longest time. My heart felt like it was being ripped apart to two pieces. I was fighting it, the tears, but they kept on flowing. I tried not to make a sound, since I didn't want anyone to see me like this... I had to be strong. But at that moment, I felt so alone. I fell apart. I cried and cried 'til there were no more tears to cry, but the aching pain was still there... I miss home. I wanted to go back home and be able to spend time with them, my sibs, my grandma... How I wish I could be with them again, right now...
I want to go home... crying

Homesickness is very, very painful, and it's a very unsettling feeling to be gone from your folks for a long while. All the worry and the stress doesn't do good for us.
I'll pray for you.

This is a bit over the top but I always think about the men and women serving in the armed forces. Not only are they away from home for years or so but they're also risking their lives. If they can get over the homesickness I'm sure you can as well. I'll be praying.

Yehey blaugh If it's hard for you to let go, you could try instant messaging them every once in a while, see how things are, etc. I've never really experienced homesickness, though, so I can't tell you if it will work or not.

i'm really sorry. if it's any consolation, i know how you feel.. i think most people do. just know that a lot of people are praying for you. and when you do go home, you'll be that much happier when you see them! just don't count the days, live your life, and soon, you'll get to see your family. it'll be even a better feeling than if you were going to a school nearby. i'm praying for you.

Thank you. When you live by one of the biggest Forts in the U.S. you have a constant reminder of who's really going through the tough stuff. Most people here just disregard them as another soldier at the airport or at the mall. In all reality it's a human being that is here today and might not be tomorrow. Inspired a song idea of mine called "If tomorrow never comes."
