Just curious if anyone else enjoys a good revival of a classic series. Some are followups to a series they may have ended 10 or 20 years ago but some maybe a completly remade storyline that ignores the original plot totally.
Opinions?
Some fav followups: Mazinkaiser, Shin Getta Robo, & 8-Man After
Fav's reborn: New Getta Robo, Astro Boy(his 80's remake & the 2003 remake), Cyborg 009, Devilman(that 90's anime with only 2 volumes to it), Casshan:Robot Hunter, & Gigantor/Tetsujin 28(80's remake, haven't seen FX or the newest remake yet).

the early animation was comically inept, like astroboy and speed racer.
it's good for laughs but i could never take it seriously.

I liked the Cyborg 009 series. I would not mind seeing that again. Others are not as good but they would be a treat to see again.
