Meggie pushed open the door to the dance room. Her long brown hair was pulled up into a bun except for some of it which was curled and flowed to her neck. She wore a short red dress with a black ribbon at her waistline. She had a small black purse and red peep-toe pumps. "Whew, everything's all ready." she said with a sigh or relief.
Tyler walked in shortly after. He wore an all black suit with a crisp gold tie. He walked over to one of the slot machine's and started playing.

Phoebe walked in behind Meggie, in a short skin tight black strapless dress. Her hair was in a pony tail, her bangs held back with the pony tail. Looking around, she smiled. "Wow, this is going to be fun." Normally, long ago, when she went to things like this, it was for 'work'. Holding onto a small black plaid purse, her pure black heels went about 4 inches off of the ground. Her eye make up with light but made her eyes pop. "C'mon girlie! Let's dance!" This time it was her turn to take hold of Meggie and drag her somewhere. And that somewhere was the dance floor.

As Phoebe dragged her away Meggie checked just to make sure she could, although she probably had no choice. Staff... check, DJ... check, lights... check. Everything was ready. She gladly joined Phoebe on the dance floor.

Never hearing the song before, Phoebe's eyes lit up. The beat was amazing, she found herself getting excited and wanting to dance even more. Once in the middle of the dance floor, she began to swing her hips at the beat of the music. Following her hips were her head and arms. She stood in front of Meggie as she danced, a smile on her face.

Meggie jumped up and down shaking her head. "I love this song! Usher's so awesome!" she said, smiling happily to what the way the dance was going. "Hey you think Ly's going to show?"

"Well who wouldn't show?! I mean look at this place!" She laughed bringing her hands up in the air as if to show her what was going on around her. But obviously she knew what was going on. Laughing, she nudged Meggie. "Send him a text just reminding him." She winked. Meaning if she really wanted to she could send a picture text message to him.

Meggie smiled. The place did look great and most of the school was there, but just a bunch of randoms. She stopped bobbing up and down and texted him Hey u comin 2 the dance 2nite? she hit send and smiled. One of her favorite songs came on and she smiled even bigger!

{Haha, you're introducing me to so many great songs =] } Phoebe smiled, "Sent?" As Meggie put her phone away, she answered her own question. "Sweet!! He'll be here any time, just you wait!" Hearing the song, she couldn't believe the great feeling that it was putting through her. She hadn't been listening to the radio in so long, all the music that she had missed over the years.. It was.. Addicting.{Lysanders' answer below} 'Crap! I forgot! Sry! I will be there ASAP.'

{Haha thanks!} She smiled at Phoebe's response. She hopped he'd be here soon. As her phone buzzed she quickly texted him back. C U Soon smile "He's coming, you were right!" She beamed her another kilowatt smile, but that quickly changed when she noticed that people were starting to leave.

Seeing the frown on Meggie's face as she noticed everyone was leaving, Phoebe instantly came to a conclusion. Smiling, she got up where the DJ was in an open area and began to dance to the music. "WOO! C'MON PEOPLE! DON'T BAIL ON US YET!" Looking around, she saw the lights people. "STROBE US UP!" She yelled at them, getting shrugs from them, they turned the strobe lights on.

Meggie smiled Phoebe was so sweet. She got up and danced along too. But her watch beeped signaling the end of the dance. She sighed, everyone was being ushered out and Lysander hadn't shown. She shrugged and called out to Phoebe, "Hey crazy girl! Wanna stay late and help me clean up?"
Tyler slowly followed the last bits of the people until he had finally left and he headed back to his dorm.

As the music dulled, and the people went on leaving to go back to their dorms, Phoebe smiled looking at her bestie. "Well duh! The dancing part is only half the fun!" Though she couldn't help but feel angry with Lysander for not making it to the dance. It didn't matter what century it was, men stayed the same. At least each group of men stay the exact same. "There are three different types of men." She began to say as she jumped down and began to clean. "The first is the low life scum, the ones that the world could do without." Walking over to the garbage, she threw away the garbage she had picked up. "The second are the ones that some days you hate, and some days you adore." Taking hold of the trash can, she picked it up easily and brought it over to Meggie so she could throw the garbage she had away. "And the third is the type of men that are to good to be true so they're most likely gay." Had she told her this before? "Today, you'll hate Lysander. Make him feel bad, so tomorrow he'll make it so you adore him." Winking at her, Phoebe smiled. "It's only fair. Right?"

Meggie laughed and scooped up the rest of the trash. "Aww Phoebs, you're the best, best friend ever! Let's have a sleep over tonight!" The dance room was practically clean, and she was to sad from Lysander not coming that she wanted to get her mind off boys. She had a lot of fun when she was with Phoebe and that's exactly what she needed

"Girls night?! HECK YEAH! Let's do it!" Putting a lot of emphasis into her face and her body motions, she laughed. "Ooh! How much fun we're going to have! Our night has just begun! We can watch The Nanny on the TV, and paint out nails! Do make up! Read magazines! Take pictures of each other together!" She began to list off millions of things that they could do. "I'll grab some of my stuff and meet you there?" She smiled glad to have a sleep over with her first best friend in a few hundred years.
