So what is your favorite yarn to work with? Mine is probably KnitPicks Palette, an all wool fingering weight yarn. I'm also hella digging KnitPicks Gloss Lace, a laceweight wool/silk blend. Yummy. Though you can't go wrong with Red Heart, as it's easy care and versatile.

Caron brand Simply soft. It used to be eco friendly from recycled plastic, but it's still good. I used to make my best yarn falls with it, now I crochet with it. heart

I'm really starting to dig Charisma by Loops and Threads. It's chunky, squishy and oh so soft. Pretty good for store (Michael's) brand. ^_^

Given that the only yarns I HAD bought before were Red Heart (being cheap is definitely a plus)... I REALLY like this "snuggly wuggly" from Loops & Threads. I got it in a pretty green that I'm planning on making into a baby blanket.. one day. For once, I might finish in time, since I'm not planning on having kids for several years.. But it's very soft and I like it. :3

This might be kind of cheesy but I like the Vanna White yarn. That stuff that looks all heathery when its knitted. I have made a pair of socks (yes they are thick, more like house slippers) out of the brown and a purse, in the purple with a green peace sign in it, as well as several assorted bags. The yarn is not that spectacular, I just love that heathered or tweedy look it gets.
