Whatever happened to the values of humanity,Whatever happened to the fairness in equality... Sorry about this topic. xD Buuut, everyone's had this conversation sometime or other, so...
No offence to anyone, but Harry Potter is the love. o.0
I get that the authoress of Twilight wrote the first book when she was a young adult - but why is there no progression made throughout the rest of her novels? D: Instead of spreading love we're spreading animosity,
Lack of understanding, leading lives away from unity.

Twilight is a terrible thing to happen to the world. It is an insult to literature. D ':
Harry Potter is much better. But anything can surpass Twilight, so it's not worthy competition for the Potter books.
I'm terribly biased, and I don't care if I offend, but I'm stubborn and I don't care about any attempted arguments on the part of any Twilight fans.
(My girlfriend threw popcorn at Twilight movie goers when it first came out. She said she and a friend went there for a James Bond movie and a whole flock of them were in the bathroom so my dear Vii said her friend tightened her gas mask and they began to throw popcorn at the girls. I applaud this behavior.)

Harry Potter is much better. But anything can surpass Twilight, so it's not worthy competition for the Potter books.

It's all opinion based.
Personally, I think The twilight movie sucked.
(Though the new twilight sucks movie actually sounds funny)
The books were alright when they first came out before everyone started to find out about it and the fan girls blew the whole thing up and out of proportion.
I like the Harry Potter series more becasue it's one of those things that I grew up watching and reading, so I grew attached to it.
In general (Whoa, off topic)
If you don't pay attention to the majority (I'm not saying all, just the crazy over obssesed ones that give things a bad reputaion) of fans (Or you just might not be into whatever it is) then most things aren't as horrible.... sweatdrop
Just kind-of giving an opinion and I thought I should end it there because it was begining to not make any sence.

Ignore that and focus on the drama, plus it had a little bit of comedy in ECLIPSE! Try watching it closely.

I definitely like the Harry books better except for the last one cause it was like a wtf moment when harry fought voldy
But I just love twilight in general thanks to taylor lautner wink
but for the books the first two were okay and then it got to like omg just kill a good guy for once when i got to the 3 and 4

*Sigh* I hate these discussions, but I'll give my two cents to this.

Well, I'll say, for one thing, that the BOOKS for both subjects were pretty alright.
- Yes, I loved Harry Potter for its great chemistry, the fantastical-yet-mischievous qualities of the magic in the air, and the wonderful character range. (Though the last book made me go "Okay, seriously... What. The. F**k.)
- Yes, I loved Twilight because of the drama, the interestingly complex storyline, and it is an inspiration for true love for girls everywhere about one who wants to find it. (Even though I still don't understand how vampires... Sparkle.)
As far as the movies goes, they were both impeccable, considering the subjects concerned about the movie. And, everybody has to admit, both sold a little too much R-rated concepts: Horny boys/girls, slight innuendo, and the basic concepts of SEX.

So, to end my rant... I side with neither. Everybody calm down and please don't diss me.
