at the risk of sounding totally racist.... White ppl hair isn't nappy enough to have good dreads. Now before anyone takes offence, I'll explain. Negro hair is a series of very tight curls making it real easy to lock up and still look neat. Don't get me wrong. If left unkept it'll look like a ******** up brillo pad. Caucaisian hair is generally more straight and less rough so its harder to lock up and it looks (I.M.O) sloppy no matter how you keep up with it. now this is soley based on what I've seen. But like Kira's first picture, that's how they usually look, and I've seen a lot of different ppl try.
As for suggestions on a avi air style... I wish I could help, but I was kinda thinking the same for my avi. I want to change it to something new, but not girly or retarded looking for my avi.
I completely know what you mean, and I do agree with you. The reason I want dreads is mostly on influence of my friends (because a few of them have dreads) and it seemed like something I could keep up with. And as for my hair, I have poofy, thick, very curly hair which is almost impossible to maintain some days. Dreading it also seemed like a good way to keep it maintained.
Will I get dreads in the end? Who knows? Right now I think I am going through a phase where I want to try everything to my hair, but I could see myself getting sick of them easily and then not being able to do anything about it. So I could see the little bit in me convincing me otherwise.
And tis ok =) I think I just need to get into the salon durem and pick something already xD
btw, your dreads are amazing! I prefer the smaller ones rather than larger ones.
..I think I am going to go braid my hair now though =)
