Oh how high does the free bird go
Oh how low
Oh how fast
And why, oh why does it pass

It passes it's friends
Doesn't stop till the end
It passes the fun
how fast it can run

Oh how it sings when it does slow down
It's stops to sing when leaves turn brown
It sings a song you've known all along
Then the snow falls to the ground

Oh how high does the free bird go
oh how low
oh how fast
And why, oh why does it pass

It seems odd that it stops
When the snow falls down
And no one dares to help it back up
Up to the top
Where it sometimes get stuck

Faster and faster it all piles high
Higher and higher the free bird can't fly
Which is why, oh why it doesn't fly
When the snow falls to the ground

The snow melts and drips away
To see the pretty new day
Now the bird flies again
Until it stops to sing
A song that you've known all along
When the leaves fall down
And the snow soon after
And no one, never ever, helps them back up
When they fall down to the ground

From way up high they float on down
To meet a new fate, upon the ground
Now the children run and play all day
Crunching the leaves 'till they go away
Then they march in the soft new snow
Waiting for the day when flowers grow
Only to hear a song that they knew
All along
When the leaves fall to the ground

Oh how high does the free bird go
oh how low
oh how fast
And why oh why does it pass
