I had a physical done yesterday, my second one in a few months, both having been for ROTC. I had my first breast examination yesterday, and I figured it was going to be awkward regardless of the circumstances concerning my doctor, whether it would be a male or female, etc. He turned out being a guy, surprise there. I have the best luck. Well, he also did a visual examination of my v****a. First one of those too. It probably would have been more awkward, but he made me somewhat comfortable by talking to me beforehand... because he happened to be Polish (like me) and he actually spoke some. Although I totally don't remember it, the Polish word for soup is pretty entertaining. c: (Although him complimenting the muscles in my legs was weird...) This somewhat took my mind off of his old man hands on my chest and my legs having to be open for his beady, black eyes to examine me lady parts.

I tried to go as long without these examinations as I possibly could. I got to eighteen without one, so I find that to be an accomplishment. Well, any who, all was fine with me lady parts. But I was diagnosed with Scoliosis. I'm not bummed out about it though, because it's not severe. It's a very slight curve in my spine. I don't need any corrective surgery or a brace. I just have to concentrate on upper body and back exercises and do these daily. What's really odd is as said above I recently had another physical and the doctor at that one said I had great posture and an extraordinarily straight spine. |:

If you recall correctly, you were posting all kinds of "I hope you're okay" and "I miss you"s on my profile back when I had my first surgery for Scoliosis. whee
Oh how time flies~

Scoliosis twins! We should both get S's tattooed onto our backs.... made out of spinal columns-- oh wait, that wouldn't be very great with the post-surgery scars, would it?

o.o
I have... never thought about it. You so silly!

How about you get Scoli on your back and I get osis on mine.

That way we can randomly turn around at people, lift the backs of our shirts up and be all like, "YEAH, BEAT THAT. YOU CAN'T, CAN YOU? THAT'S RIGHT, YOU CAN'T. Now go make us some coffee, we've had surgery, you know. Can't be all walking around and such. Cheerio, good chap!"

Well...
Okay, we became stereotyped British people by the end of it. But it started out as a somewhat okay Idea...

when I read that my back popped audibly. I think that was it's way of attempting to let you down softly. That or it was like, "Hell no." Sorry. blaugh

You know what would be even better than twins?

Triplets!!

I had my scoliosis surgery when I was 12. 3nodding Mine was an 'S' shape with a curvature of about 50 degrees in the thoracic and lumbar sections. Now I have a HUGE scar down my spine and a smaller one on the back of my hip where they took out a bone graft. I have the before x-rays but I wish they let me keep the after. sad It looked soooo cool.

    TRIPLETS. HECK YES.

Wow, twelve? That must have been a terrifying experience for a tween. The X-rays and scar do sound pretty cool though. c:

The pain was hellacious, and not in a good way! It was a pretty freaky thing to go through at age 12, but it was the only possible solution. My spine was so bad that it was either get surgery or do nothing. Also afterwards I was pretty much stoned on my pain meds for a solid month or so so I don't remember much about that summer lol.

The scars are neat, but it's weird when people touch them cause there's no nerves and I can't feel it. I also have a lot of nerve damage so a majority of my lower back is numb. I have really great posture now, but little flexibility cause of the whole fused spine thing.

I'd die without my flexibility. It's what I'm known for... literally. At school people either stopped and said, "HEY! YOU LOOK LIKE LADY GAGA!" or "YOU'RE THAT GIRL THAT DOES ALL OF THE CREEPY CONTORTIONIST s**t!"
