Has anyone here ever tried to buy something odd off of eBay? I tried buying a lemon shark and an umbilical cord once..... But they were out of stock for both items.....

I bought a poster off Ebay once, bu yeah, I mostly stick to Amazon too. I like going on Ebay and just looking around for random things though.

I've both bought and sold on eBay. Haven't had a problem until this Christmas, when I bought an XBox, which STILL hasn't arrived. It's in the mail system someplace, keeps getting lost. But that's not the seller's fault, just the way it goes. At least I paid for insurance, so if it never gets here, I get my money back.
The important thing about buying from eBay is to check the seller's feedback. If there are problems with the person, it should show up there. A score of anything less than 95% or so is probably a bit risky.

My mom and I sold a set of collectors coins once... it was weird cause the guy met us in person to actually pay for them. Iunno.
And my mom's bought perfume too, but that went off without a hitch.

OK, Rain Lancer, I have to ask. Why in the world were you trying to buy an umbilical cord? And do people actually try to sell them on eBay? Yech. xp xp xp

Yes, I think I heard the same thing. People will sell anything ... it's bizarre. Do you think they would be interested in a 13-year-old, or should I call 1-800-GYPSIES?

I think you'd get more money from the Gypsies. They might be able to use your 13-year-old in a Gypsy magic show of some sort... that might be fun! I'd like to be in a show like that, I think... but I don't want to be sold...

My little brother bought a subwoofer off there once, and he got it without a hitch. I, however, have never personally used Ebay. I don't have anything I want to buy...
