I'm worried about my dog...she's all shaky and breathing hard. I think I'm going to have to take her to the vet.

*frets*

This sucks...

Awww, I hate it when animals get sick.
Especially at night, because then you feel guilty about having to wait to take them to the vet. sad

But maybe she's just got a little cold, eh?. I hope that's all it is.

Take her to the vet. Right away.

Well, I've watched her very closely and it seems she's got the runs. Her shakes were from holding herself so she wouldn't make a mess. I gave her half a pepto; if she doesn't seem to get better...I'll take her in tonight.

She did eat her dinner, and seems to have calmed down. I can expect to be up every few hours to walk her tonight...

I shouldn't have gotten so alarmed, but my first dog died of renal failure...and shakes make me very nervous. I'm calming down pretty well myself.

Thanks for being concerned. You guys make me smile. *hugs*

My dog died of a ruptured gall bladder. It just spontaneously ruptured when he was only 5. The symptoms were the same, so it worries me.

I'm so sorry to hear that. I don't know what I'd do if something like that happened to my pup. She's such a good hearted little beastie...

*hugs* I will keep everyone apprised of how she is...or if I need to take her to the vet. I'm thinking she got into something she shouldn't have. Which amazes me, because she can't get into the trash bin. I put that out of the way because she likes exotic leftovers.

Well, I really hope she's OK. Let us know ...

Ok...weirdness has ensued. I had my dog in my lap, and I felt this really weird sorta hard thing pushing out of the side of her tummy.

I push on it, and it moves and she burps. I swear that she's eaten something that isn't food.

She's moping now; I'm under orders to watch her for the next 24 hours and monitor her bathroom habits and eating habits. If, by Monday, she hasn't cleared up the tummy problems...I am to take her in.

*le sigh* I am almost afraid to find out what she ate...

Oh boy ... well, what might it be, do you think? If she was trash-picking, what was in there? No meat bones, I hope ...

My cat ate a green Christmas ribbon and then threw it up on the carpet. Whee.

Actually, the regular trash has been locked away...I think she ate something from outside the house, or maybe from my luggage. Either way, not good.

I'd be vastly amused if Chloe were pregnant, though. She's been fixed. That would be...a surprise and a half, if it were true.

She seems to be ok now. Now it's just a waiting game...will it come out, or won't it. eek
