Arielle was still sleeping soundly, stuck in a dream she had found somewhat interesting. It was a warm summer day, and she was looking at herself in the mirror. She had cocked her head to the side, slightly, surprised at what she saw. She was wearing the wedding gown. And she was assuming it was her wedding. She heard a knock on the door and saw her grandfather come in, ready to escort her to the pulpit.

There were no voices or sounds. It was like she was watching everything. Her hair was down and she was actually wearing jewelry. She wondered who the guy was, not sure if the dream would just stop there. The scene changed and she was walking down the aisle, her arm through her grandfather's arm. When she got to the minister, she noticed a familiar of brownish-blond hair. And after the vows, when it was time to kiss the bride, it was Kedrick's face.

She woke up quickly, surprised at such a dream. Why did it seem so real? Not only that, but her cheeks were somewhat flushed. It's probably all that talk that grandma and grandpa did last night, Arielle thought with a nod, Besides, we're just friends. She noticed that the covers were on her shoulders and she sat up slowly, looking around to find out where Kedrick had gone. She looked over to the kitchen and found Kedrick making breakfast. She stood up and walked over to the kitchen, tapping the boy's shoulder.

"Good morning Kedrick," Arielle said with a smile, "What are you making?"

Kedrick worked in the kitchen, the only sound breaking the morning silence was the few raindrops hitting the roof and the radio playing softly in the background. The power had come on sometime late last night. Kedrick looked up when Arielle came in to the kitchen, inquiring about breakfast. "food," he replied with a smile "you want some?" Kedrick held out the pan for her to see, it was eggs, and ham, both still sizzling.

Arielle smiled and smelled the food, it's aroma filling the kitchen somewhat. Her stomach growled and she placed one hand over it, almost like she was trying to hold it in. "That looks so good. But I like my eggs scrambled. I can do that myself, once your done of course. I don't want you to trouble yourself with making my eggs."

((My stomach did growl after I typed that sentence and I did the exact same thing as Arielle. So creepy.))

Kedrick grined at her, "okay," He said, "I'll dish up your ham." Grabbing a hot-mit Kedrick picked the pan up off of the stove top, with his other hand he grabbed two plates off of the cabinet. Setting them on the table the scooped the eggs and some ham on to his plate and the rest of the ham on to Arielle's.

"Thanks for making breakfast, Kedrick," Arielle said with a grin as she pulled out cups and set them on the table, "How was your sleep last night?" She pulled out the orange juice and poured it in her cup and then sat it on the table, just in case Kedrick wanted some.

Kedrick picked up the juice carton, shaking it experimentally before pouring some in his glass. "I slept fine...weird dreams though...." He said thoughtfully, taking a bite of breakfast.

Arielle had pulled out two eggs and almost dropped them when Kedrick said that he had weird dreams last night. She placed them on the counter and looked at him. "Wh-what kind of dream?" Arielle asked a little nervously. She could tell him she had a weird dream too, but she rather wait and see how his was.

Kedrick looked up at Arielle, then looked down again, the shadows hiding the faint blush on his cheeks. "ah nothing, just some really weird stuff...." He said, then tried to divert the conversation to something else. "what do you want to do today?" He asked hurriedly.

"Probably not as weird as mine," Arielle muttered to herself under her breath, remembering the dream caused another blush on her face. She cracked the eggs and mixed them, catching Kedrick's question. She thought about it and shrugged her shoulders. "I have no idea. Uh... What do you want to do?"

"hhmm.." Kedrick hummed softly as he thought, biting his knuckle. "lets see....." He said softly, Arielle could almost imagine the wheels turning in his head. Kedrick stood up pacing the floor, trying to think, he open the refrigerator door, shocked at the minimal amount of food. "we could...go down town," He said "find something fun to do and pick up something to fill this poor thing."

Arielle finished stirring the eggs until it looked just right and put them in a pan, turning the stove on. When Kedrick mentioned about going downtown and probably finding more food to fill the fridge, Arielle nodded in agreement. "Sounds like a great idea. I wonder what's playing at the movies?"

Kedrick smiled at her "that a good idea, I like the way you think." He said, "but first, we'd probably better change into something we haven't slept in." Kedrick said, motioning to the rumpled button-up shirt he had been wearing all day yesterday. He stood up, putting away his dishes and walking out. Kedrick headed up to his room, changing into a fresh T-shirt and jeans. It felt good to be in clean clothing. He walked back downstairs, re-entering the kitchen.

Arielle smiled and finished making her eggs. When they were done, she started eating them as Kedrick left to go change. She smiled happily, glad to have something going down in her stomach. Her mind slipped away, trying to understand the dream she had last night and also, trying to figure out why Kedrick wouldn't tell her his dream.

When Kedrick came back in with something clean on, Arielle finished her food and cleaned up her dishes. She then walked past him and smiled, "You look nice. I'll be back down in about fifteen to twenty minutes." Even Arielle knew that girls took forever to get ready. She went up to the bathroom and looked for a towel and wash cloth. When she found them, she took a shower, singing while she did so.

After that, she went back in her room, closing the door and dried herself off. She looked through her things, trying to decide what to wear. Eventually, she found a pair of jeans, a nice forest green top,and a pair of brown cowboy boots. When she had finished with that, she dried her hair and combed it, deciding to wear it down for that day. She took some strands of her hair and braided them, one on each side. She then put a green crocheted cap on her head and looked at herself in the mirror. She didn't know why she had dressed up so nicely. It wasn't like she was going on a date with Kedrick, but maybe it was just her girlish genes. She grabbed one of her bags and headed downstairs.

"Okay," Arielle said happily, "Ready to go."

Kedrick shook his head in wonder as Arielle walked out "fifteen to twenty minutes...sheez...girls..." He snorted softly, wiping off the kitchen counters, clearing away the extra stuff from breakfast. He turned when Arielle walked back in, about to razz her about the amount of time it had taken her to change. he had to keep his jaw from dropping to the floor, now seeing why it took her so long. Kedrick cleared his throat, looking awkward "you..uh.. you look nice Arielle." He said quickly, now wonder why he didn't wear something a bit nicer.

Arielle smiled nervously, "It's nothing much. Besides, it's going to be nice today with the rain gone. I don't even know why I dressed up so nicely. Then again, I guess that's what comes to being a girl, right? We always try to look our best." She noticed that Kedrick was looking the exact same way that he did when she put on the wedding gown at her grandparent's house yesterday. That thought brought up the memory of her dream and her cheeks flushed. Trying to not create an awkward situation, Arielle walked towards the Kedrick. "Ready?"
