I will keep this as a normal topic as we have too many stickys and announcements at the moment.
Point is. I've already posted this in the suggestions, but this guild needs a well deserved evolution. Since the absence of black_rain this guild has been falling apart, allthough we hate to admit it.
The rest of the moderators willing to take it out of their free time to help renovate this guild will have my full support and i will most definatly become more active in the guild.
Before you answer: Yes we do have a suggestions topic, but people seem to be ignoring it.
If you are a member or a moderator and wish to take part, just post in here and say what you would like to do. BUT don't post yet, as this could be disapproved of the other moderators.
Unfortunately, the only reward we might get is a new and awsome(er) guild for the whole community to join in to. But that's more than enough for me to get up off my *ahem* butt and start doing something about it.
Gaia is changing, why shoudn't we?
Note: Mods please feel free to edit the below 2 posts to keep everyone up to date and to check what you can work on if you agree.

Okay...I have only been in this guild a short while and I see a serious lack of good conversations. The guild has fallen into the, let's post, this is a great place to get gold. We have lots of great topics that have survived a long time. We also have a lot of spammish topics which get lots of well deserved attention, because almost everyone loves spam to some extent. In any case, we need to bring some good discussions where everyone can contribute (not just gays/girls/whatever minority) and it's easy to post. I see all these discussion that are started off with a great idea, but have a serious lack of thought after they are started. For instance, you start a post about gay rights at school. We should have a good poster, or have people add information. The big idea is to contribute. -shrug- It's just what I've noticed over the last few months of peeping in here and posting. And I've gotten good recommendations about this guild (which is why I joined), but it's not living up to it's potential in my mind.

I agree. This guild has been going downhill. I'd galdy help out more, but I don't know where the boundry is because I'm not a mod :/ When I joined this guild close to a year ago, it was much more....a guild not so much spamish things and repeat threads.
And the suggestions thread does not get looked at >> because I put up a REALLY good suggestion a while back. (We could make a Table of Contents page, so that way we dont have that many repeat threads.)
If there was anything that I can do to help the guild to be a better place, and to be the place I found, I'd gladly do it. (It might just make me more motivated in the guild aswell, since school started I've been kinda slacking sweatdrop )
But its a good idea, to revamp the Guild. I like it.

Since the time I joined this guild I've always enjoyed it. It has that laid back feeling in it. But like what the both of them said, there just has been too many repeated theads. Maybe we can have some sub - forums open (if the guild master creates them), so that the topics can go to the appropriate places. Also, like one of them said, there should be like a library or a link thread where you can easily navigate your way thru here. I'll do what ever I can to help even though I'm not a mod...
[EDIT] : Maybe we can also boot some people out (like what Tyro was planning) and..delete some old topics that are no value to the guild..(than again, if the guild master gives people the promotion and power to become as Vice Captain)

I totaly agree, When I joined...um...sometime in the middle of last year?.....This Guild was AWSOME! And, now all I see are a few regulars, and that's it. Even then, there are only three or four threads that get posted in. Maby it IS time to start anew. Get rid of all but a few of the most used or memorable threads, And change the style. Login made a very good point, Gaia is changing...DRAMITICLY!...and why shouldn't we. Maby if we have a new look, we'll get some new regulars. Anyhow, I fully agree with and support the idea of changing the guild's look and feal. 3nodding

As mentioned before, this Guild is due for a Major Update. With the loss of black_rain and the neglect on both the parts of the Members and the Mods (Appologies - but in my defense, loginbin is the first mod I've seen in a good while) this place has become something of a backwater guild that newbies join so that they can attempt to get away with some Yaoi/Yuri activities that are just on the edge of going from PG-13 to R or even NC-17. Not exactly the best way to keep the Lanzer, VO, and the Rest of the Mod Squad of Gaia happy.
To be honest, the two main things I've been worried about for this guild is:
(A: *Most Likely Scenario* it's gonna die due to lack of activity and leave the few that care out in the cold,
or
(B: *Worst Case Scenario* it goes to the dogs, the Moderators discover it filled with stuff that goes against the TOS, they close it down and ban all associated with it, the end.
Either Way, It ain't a pretty picture. What is there to do about it? Well, for starters, it'd be nice if (Appoligies ahead of time guys) the Guild Mod's came back and payed attention to it like they used to - Taking care of simple housework jobs like deleting posts that have doubles or what not (Alright, I admit that maybe this has been happening and I haven't noticed - However, I feel that it still needed to be said.) And as for the Members, we need to take much better care of the guild - its suppoesd to be a relaxed, cordial, carefree setting, but for the love of humanity, we already HAVE 6+ "Post Your Picture" Threads, can't we use them? It's just simple stuff like that.
*Whew* Now that I have THAT off of my chest... Look, my point is, the guild's gone downhill due to the neglect of its members and possibly Mod's. If we would just show this thing the love that we did a while back, maybe we can return it to its former glory. That's my suggestion. And I dont know about anyone else, but I for one would be honored to make this guild one to be proud of, no matter how much Gold it takes!
(-Appologies to all if I have offended - No offense intended towards anyone - Also, appologies for the length of the post -)

The make out and hook up threads need to go, in my opinion. If we want this to be a awsome guild we need to make sure it doesn't turn into an over glorified version of the catterbox. *shudders*

=^_^= Thank you for so many nice replies. And yes, i agree with every one of you. The best thing i'm hoping for at the moment, is if Lint also catches wind of our ideas, especially the subforums, and puts them into action. Sutiiven: You're right, this guild wil most likely die or be killed if we don't do anything about it. Unfortunatly again, only the owner can change some of the things, like our banner, but i suppose we can contact him and tell him about this.
Brandon Yamata: The chatterbox now i think is kindof disgraceful. I hardly go near there now. And yes, repeats of threads HAVE BEEN MENTIONED in the rules of this guild. We sould be doing something about this as well. Suoh: You have a good point. And i'm one of the ones who sued to lack here as well, after i became a moderator that is. If you want to contribute on the whole, you can post as well as encourage other people to join who might become regulars as well.
Heartshaped Lullaby: SPAM! Specially processed american mea- Oh you mean supid pointless annoying messages? OH THAT SPAM sweatdrop . Yes i suppose, with all of the seemingly random, and sometimes pointless, polls and topics. This also needs to be dealt with and discussed with the moderators.
DeaTh_WiLL_CoNQuER: Isn't that what maods are here for as well? You tell us ideas and we can hopefully put them into action where members actions are not allowed. When a guild is together in a team, it's basically unstoppable. And again, i'm not sure about the booting, unless there was a limit to how many members you could have in the guild.
ToeboysGurl: Thanks for agreeing and not being a mod doesnt mean that you are powerless. As i've said, you could become a regular poster which would attract more attention(sion? I'm way to tired) to the guild. I apologise about the suggestions thread. This again, was black_rain's topic. We do have a contents page, but its hidden in the welcome topic. Maybe we could make it a seperate announcement/sticky once the rest are cleared up?

The least you can do is tell the moderators which topics are dry and not used.

Im not one to toot my own horn, but we've had this problem for months on end. I remember months ago (sorry for the veggness) I stopped caring about deleting repeat threads cause id have everyone and their brother make new thread and not even care to look for old threads that were already available and in full swing. I remember months back I asked if anyone has read the rules and what was so hard about following them and got little response to the annoyance it was that people were just not caring to think before they pushed that post button. I think what im trying to touch on is that the basic art of communication is lost in this guild. Mods make lone decisions to try and be police and we get weighted down by the pressure of doing it alone. I just want to see some form of community, where everyone helps each other and we all just have fun. Stop me when im wrong, but we need to have a game plan for 2006 that everyone agrees on, and I will get lint to atleast give us a Vice-Chaptain that can atleast give us the power to create sub-forms and all the stuff that he has neglected to do. Don't get me wrong, I love him to death, but sometimes he needs his lazy a** prodded. I know I could continue to touch on subjects that need to be delt with, but my head isn't thinking straight and I want some feedback from others ^_^.
