The cuttlefish froze when it heard the metalic hissing. It turned to stare in the direction of Shun's ZOID, its blue optics running scans on the body. The little thing appeared to be glaring. Something wanted its shiny! It. Must. Perrish!

Talon, on the other hand, raised an eyebrow at Shun, "I must be hearing things too, right? By gods, you're an awful lier. " He continued petting Bent-Tail simply because the little rodent seemed not all too worried about the noise. Always look to the organoids and Zoids when in doubt.

"I'm going to assume you were 'gifted' a follower too. "

Zutnic had to think quick, he was told not be seen. An idea came to him a little slowly.

"No Zutnic here, only Zoid talk to wimpy not Zutnic's human master... I kill disruptor too. but not here, cause Zutnic not." Zutnic hissed to the other Pilot keeping his head down. Ah, that should do it. Would have worked on himself in any case.

"Zutnic human not a lie... Zutnic rip you apart to fleshy bloody bag thing. But you not know cause not here or anything... says this ZOID." He had to add. The striker wasn't about to let anyone insult his pilot. If that was an insult. Maybe. Who cares, he was feeling mighty clever about now.

Atelius could see the the striker and nearly facewinged when he received a signal on what was being said. MY GOD the intelligence of some machines. He would be even more worried if the human fell for it. Part of him felt a bit of pride for the pilot he was put in charge of and would be danged if he proved to be a moron.

It was a little hard to lie when the thing he was trying to hide was right there. If it wasn't bad enough already, Zutnic began to speak up, threatening Talon more or less. While Shun appreciated the effort (somewhat), it wasn't exactly helping the whole situation. He had to force himself to not facepalm at it too.

But maybe, just maybe Talon would fall for it. It wasn't too likely though. Not unless the guy was a complete moron.

One thing that caught his attention was the fact that the other pilot had said 'too' when mentioning a follower. Maybe the reasons why Nick was in the temple where she ran into Talon was one similar to the reasons why she was in the other. He had to wonder what the thing following Talon was and if it was anything similar to the strikers.

"...It's possible," he said rather flatly.

Talon blinked and leaned to the side to peer at the voice coming from the Sabre Fang. He gave Shun a look of disbeleif. Seriously, did whatever it was over there think him an utter idiot? Probably. "It does realize that this 'Zutnic' just proved its existence... right? " Talon sighed and gave Shun a sympathetic look. Not everyone got blessed with a bird they could have philosophical conversations with.

Talon kindly picked up the cuttlefish that had been marching over there to eliminate and tucked Cuddles under his arm. The silver thing couldn't really wriggled out of the hold so it just hung there, glaring at Zut.

Moe squeaked curiously, waking up after his momentary nap. Yes...Moe fell asleep...lets just go with that.

Talon cleared his throat, "I see.. Well good luck with that one. "

"...not Zunic didn't..." Zutnic hissed and clung tighter to the ZOID's neck. At least he could blend in, that is until Atelis swiftly appeared and dove at the striker causing him to leap from the ZOID's neck and onto the ground where he could be in plain sight of the human and the damned cuddler. He nipped at it than glared at Talon.

His sharp tails swayed simultaneously. "You play dirty, no fair using seeker... that is cheat!" His talons clicked on the ground visually showing his frustration. "Zutnic cut you... many many pieces for cheat like that. Bring curse of death father to you!"

*clickclickhisssss*

Atelius circled around the ZOID than rounded back toward Talon, where he landed close by the human's side. As close as possible. The other human already had a supposed hidden creature, so he found no wrong in showing himself. In any case the less intelligent striker seemed might need to be put in his place... couldn't miss that.

This time Shun just went head and planted his hand to his head for a moment or so. Grumbling something lowly, he just let out a sigh and looked as Zutnic was now clearly in the open. So much for keeping hidden. But at least he got to see the 'follower' Talon had too. The.. seeker, as Zutnic called it, was similar to the striker in a sense, only it was a bird type creature.

"Zutnic calm down. Don't be cursing anyone with the Jury for that matter too," he muttered, "He just might show up..."

"Well definitely no hiding it now. The metal raptor is Zutnic," he said lowly while shooting a glare at both striker and Talon.

The series of squeaks that came from Bent-Tail next were almost like laughter. He was amused with this whole scene.

When Zutnic revealed itself, Cuddles went practically berserk. The little guy flailed and seemed to almost foam at the beak. Lucky for its ego, Talon had a firm hold on it. The most it could do was projectile spit ink or fire lasers ( the later was worst case scenario though.)

Moe flopped off of Shun's shoulder and waddled over to Talon to sit on his foot. Why? It seemed like a great idea at the time. There was a scary creature with sharp teeth near by the other person-perch, and Talon had proved himself to be a great escape vehicle time and time again. It was only logical that Moe would stick near Talon.

Talon regarded the Seeker, "Anything interesting, Atelius? " Moe would squeak and sit against Talon's leg more. The bird things were scary. Cuddles was practically foaming and tried to give the bird and the reptile the stink eye with no effect.

Attention was turned to the Striker. As fascinated as Talon was, he had a hunch that he shouldn't ask too many questions. Knowing as much as he did was being permitted. "I didn't ask Atelius to interfere. It chose to, and I accept that it has free will. " Talon snickered and shrugged at the Striker. "You're late on that curse. But thank you for reminding me. "

Moment of doom and gloom over, Talon motioned towards the Seeker. "Atelius. And I don't think the ' Black Court' will show up here just yet. Though... Maybe it'd be a good time to move locations. Kinda lingered here longer then planned. " He was grinning again. The adorable noises Bent-Tail was making wasn't helping with the SERIOUS mood Talon was trying to take on. Gah...He couldn't do serious unless it was a completely serious situation, or he needed to concentrate.

"Death father has good curses... You not see anything yet!" He clicked at Talon, nipping aggressively at both him and the cuddler.

"But Zutnic is good and listen to human. Know this one much better than seeker human." He held his head up proudly than tapped the ground with his large toe Talon.

"No, Jury is currently heading into the republic territory... a smaller outer village from what I saw of the fog pattern. We are safe." Atelius held his focus on the other pilot and the organoid. Studding each closely. "A new location would be preferable, however. If any one find -both- of us, Jury will no doubt be here to silence them quickly."

"Yes.. good Zutnic..."

Zutnic was enthusiastic, but sometimes Shun wished he hadn't shot the striker's one eye out. Most likely he had knocked something else loose when he did that. Oh well.

Shaking his head to himself, he looked over at the metallic bird as it spoke up. It seemed to be able to track the movements of the Jury, which was rather useful. It was nice to know the big death-machine was moving on but the seeker and Talon had a point. They really shouldn't stick around in the open like this. The longer they did, the better the chance someone would pop up and spot them with their supposed-to-be-hidden-allies.

"Good plan," he started before hesitating. Something gave the soldier a feeling that the two of them were going to need to be a little extra careful. If something were to come up, it might not be a bad idea to help one another, but he wasn't so sure how much he trusted Talon.

"Try not to get killed," he added gruffly before turning back towards his Zoid. Fang's head soon lowered to the ground so that the pilot and organoid could hop on in whenever they were ready.

Talon raised an eyebrow at the other pilot and the Striker. Seriously, those two did make a great pair. Kinda... He wasn't quite sure what to think of the striker. It was like it was missing some processing chips and wires... Then again, it did have a fantastically true point that this 'Death Father' could and most likely could make Talon's life a living hell.

"Right... " Talon couldn't think of anything else at the moment. SO he gave Bent-Tail a final pat on the head while half listening to Atelius prattle about how they should get moving and what not.

Moe chirped and waved a good bye to the human he liked. Cuddles, was still glaring at the Striker and flailing its tentacles like mad, more in an intimidatingly cute fashion. It forgot it had lasers due to the small malfunction it had. Shh.. It's a special one.

He heard the gruff request and Talon snickered. "As long as Lady Luck is on my side, it's a given I'll survive. See you around sometime. " Talon observed the larger Zoid thoughtfully, making a note that perhaps keeping tabs on this one wouldn't be a bad idea in case something goes down.

He'd move away, towards the other side of the lot where his bright green Zoid was waiting. What did Talon come here for again? He totally forgot, but it probably wasn't anything important. Moe bounced around ahead, deciding to chase down a small lizard, then dart after a beetle that decided it would play dead...then it was back to the lizard. The larger Zoid would let out a low rumbling of a pur, lower its head and allow the gaggle to enter... Minus the Seeker.

Tyrant honestly didn't mind the bird...Problem was it didn't match.

If Zutnic had kept his left eye he would have been a moron with better vision. Not that sight mattered much to the striker. Despite his lack of intelligence and eye he was aware of his surroundings.

Before turning back to the fang he nipped the air at the cuddler than hissed.
After that was taken care of he lept back onto the ZOID's neck and found his hiding spot once more.

Atelius didn't wish to be in the cockpit, so it worked out nicely. The seeker preferred to be out scouting the area. Which reminded him. Once in the ZOID Talon would receive a text report of another temple the Jury was spotted at before its travel to the Republic territory. The fog patten only suggested that the ZOID was only there for a minute than took off. That temple held the last of the three members of the 'court'.

Zutnic was granted this message as it was relayed to Talon than passed it on to Shun.
PostPosted: Mon May 17, 2010 8:39 pm
Once they were securely in the cockpit, Shun glanced behind to see Talon and his menagerie of mechanical creatures make their way towards a green Rev Raptor on the other end of the lot. Making a note of the zoid, he started to head on out.

The report relayed to him through Zutnic was one he wasn't too sure what to think of. Though he never actually saw Nick as the Iron Judge, he couldn't help but feel that her movements followed the Jury's. The seekers and strikers had something to do with the Jury, and if Nick was searching for them, it was fairly safe to assume she had some role in all of this. He just had to wonder what was in that third temple and what she or the Jury was planning with these things.

The soldier will have to try and keep an ear out for any happenings.

After tersely thanking Zutnic for the message, he turned Fang and made his way to base.

Talon probably should have been on his way back to the base, but the information was curious stuff. Another temple to discover/explore! Then again, he wasn't quite prepared for it. But the discovery of another ancient Zi life form was tempting, if not down right unsettling.

It was frustrating as well. Talon set forth to encrypt the new information in case higher ups got their hands on his Zoid. After all, any more people knowing the truth would cause disaster to fall upon the Glorious Guylos Empire and the Helic Republic. That imbalance of power would be...well It'd cause chaos that should be avoided.

Moe chirped something and curled up in Talon's lap for the time being while its companion fiddled at trying to remember the encryption code. This was when Tyrant gave up waiting for orders and decided to go head off towards the base, giving out and irritated growl.

Before either pilots could get too far away from each other both would receive an urgent message from their commanding officer. Some strange unmarked ZOID was found roaming about the desert north of the Guylos ruins. Ironically the same ruins Atelius reported the Jury to be at earlier.

They were to go immediately to check it out. The ZOID was not likely a threat, but it was still unwanted in the territory. Likely a rogue...

Since Talon and Shun were in the area they were first choice to find out what was going on. Lucky them.

Zutnic hummed with excitement! His first mission! Though it wasn't for him he felt happy to be appointed with a task other than hiding.

Atelius remained silent. He wasn't sure himself what the Red ZOID might be. He didn't remember seeing any when he scanned the area last.

Shun stopped Fang as the message from the higher ups came through. Strange how an unidentified Zoid was wandering around the ruins Atelius mentioned. He had some suspicions, but the bird did say that the Jury was out, so it had to be something else. Perhaps it was just an odd coincidence and just some bumbling rogue hoping to strike treasure.

Then again, the last time he received a 'menial' mission, it turned out to be something much more.

With a frown, he glanced over towards the green Rev Raptor, hoping that the other guy wouldn't end up doing anything to slow them down. He knew nothing of Talon's skills, so he figured it would be better to assume th worse for now.

"You heard him, let's get going," he grumbled through the com-link. Turning the Saber Fang around, he began to make his way to join with the other soldier once more so they could head on over to the ruin site.
