The doctors scattered everywhere getting ready for the first born child of the demon lord of dreams. It was a happy day for everyone, a demon and a water elemental where about to have a child. The war between the two races would be ended by this birth. But just as things where looking great, something was bound to go wrong. As Zack, the prince of the dream demons took his first breath, Ruby, the princess of the water elementals took her last breath. On this day Zack was branded a child of war and death, the elementals where insulted that the demons let their princess die. They believed that the demons did not try their hardest and that they where more worried about the baby. The demons denied this however and said that they did everything in their power to save her. The war that was supposed to end only got larger. Morpheus, the demon lord of dreams, was furious because he lost his beloved wife, a war that he tried to prevent only got worse, and he was cursed with the cause of all this. So he gave the cause a name that in their native language literally meant "Death child". He named him Zackary, "Zack" meant death, and "ary" meant child.

Just as Morpheous had promised, he visited Zack every day at lunch and every time went to sleep for the night. Durring the lunch hour visits Morpheous would bring a dog so that it could tire Zack out by chasing him around the room. After the dog would catch Zack, Morpheous let the dog maul him and nearly kill him before he would take the dog off of Zack. Durring the dream visits Morpheous would torture Zack in un-speakable ways. One day when Zack was 50 years old, he looked as though he was a fifteen year old human teen, and at that point he no longer ran from the dog. Instead he killed the dog and threw the dead dog at Morpheous. Morpheous was furious that Zack killed his hound and began to beat Zack with his fists. Many years of this passed until Zack was able to stand up to his father at age 312, he looked like a 16 year old human teen now and was only getting stronger as he fought with his father. Getting even more frustrated that his own son was able to hurt him, he started to use a metal baseball bat. Zack was unarmed evety time and no longer stood a chance against his father and do he gave up. After several more years of beatings Zack had grown fed up with it. He found the bones of Hephaestus and broke off the sharpest bone he could and stabbed himself in the stomach, but he did not die even though the bone was right through him. He began to wander why he did not die, then he realised that no matter how hard his dad beat him he had no scaring, he then noticed that the bones of Hephaestus should have disintegrated by now. It was then he knew that his servants, that had the capability to do so, had set up a healing barrier that was keeping him alive. Zack roared in anger and broke down his door for the first time in his life. And for th first time in 251 years he was free. He ran as far and fast as he could, but he was caught by the chefs as he tried to get through the kitchen. Zack finally was free, but he did not know how to get out, and he lost his freedom just as quickly as he got it. He was brought to his very unhappy father and forced to his knees. Morpheous growled and said "What where you thinking? Did you honesty believe you could get away? What would you do if you did get away? You have no where to go! No one wants you! No one loves you! How would you survive?" Morpheous laughed as he watched tears drop from Zack's eyes. He called to his servants "Take that piece of trash to the prison so that he knows how good he had it!" The servents bowed to their master and took Zack to the prison. Zack was forced to stay there and every day he was administered beatings, and he had much less room, no bed, less food, he had no toilet, and if his clothes ripped he was not given new ones. At the age of 300 he was treated worse then an animal, his prison was never cleaned and his father still tormented his dreams. Zack just wanted to die but he could not find a way to kill himself, he stopped talking and screaming during his beatings and the only time he said anything was when he was by himself. He would say things such as "Kill me please, just kill me now." , "I wonder if I can suffocate myself with my s**t." , "I'll never get away from... him." and "I want to die."
