If it's an ingrown hair, I'm not seeing the root. It's not painful or blistering or whatever. And it varies in softness going from malleable to hard when trying to get a look at it.
I have no idea what it is, and it's not bugging me, but what should I do about it? It might just be one of those bumps that your downstairs acquires over the course of your life. Should I get it checked out?

You may have just irritated it. How long have you had it?

I feel like this happens to you like once a year.
Actually I guess "downstairs" could refer to anything below the waist.
BUT I remember you freaking out about a bump on your labia or v****a region, maybe it was more than a year ago; whatever.

This is the first day I've noticed it. And Mary right, I had one of these last year but it's in a different spot. Now, it's in between my pelvic bone and my thigh. It doesn't really do anything and I remember when I got it checked out at the doctor, there were all, "it's nothing."
So, it's PROBABLY nothing.

I occasionally have weird bumps on my lady bits, but they go away in a few days. I assume it is just an irritation of some sort. Things down there generally heal fast. But if it sticks around for more than a week you might want to check it out.

Could be a Genital Wart. >> Obviously when you think GW you're like GROSS but they vary alot in apperance. I'm not saying Mary is full of disease (ILU Mary) buttt AND IM NOT TRYING TO SCARE YOU but maybe it could be a wart related from HPV. >>
Cause it's so easily spread.
But then again you two have only been with each other for awhile...so idk.
I might get it checked out, I hope I'm wrong and it's nothing.

I got all my HPV vaccines, so that'd be weird.

There's like, over 30 different kinds of HPV. The vaccines available today only cover about 4.
