Im not really a fan of cluttered stuff so I cant say much,
but this one caught my eye, I think it might be the colors...

Some of your better designs, in my opinion
Overall I'd give your general style a 6/10; there not bad and they do all have at least one or two good things, but most are either too cluttered or seem to be missing something.

As for you, I can kinda see where you were going with this but you didn't quite make it. I'd give it a 6/10 as is.
Even though it's not intended to have the same effect, I'd go with something like this

Over all they seem pretty good, the ones i really liked were:

I would make some changes to the second third and forth, The second one i think some brighter eyes would work better, the third one, different hair and the forth needs a little bit less clutter. I really like the first one, it had a good mixure of color and the only critism i have is that you used the same item over and over, which was less then creative.
