So yes. Soon me and my best friend are not going too see each other for at least a year. She's leaving for Portugal where she'll be staying for about a year, and I'm moving to Sweden later this year. Which sucks since we are boath so deeply socialy akward that it's highly unlikely that we'll have an easy time finding another person who we get so well along with, who understands our quirks/crazy moodswings and social akwardness. So that is not cool.
But we decided that if we end up losing touch since we are boath very bad at the whole long distance thing that we should still be thankfull that we had such a good run. And since when we came to that conclusion, we were downtown anyway, we walked into the nearest tattoo shop and got an appointment and two days late Voila! I have now done the extremely girly thing of getting a matching tattoo with my best friend. A tattoo she designed,
It's a simple happy looking fish with a swirly simple and style-ised wave thingy under it. So yes. A happy fish riding a wave on my shoulder blade.
Because I told her I liked fishes so she said that's what we would get.
WOHOO For on the spot decisions! (it fits our relationship amasingly well, since she's always been that one person for me that no matter how random the thing I suggest to do, I can alway rely that she will say yes, and I am that person for her. "Skip the next class to drive to the lake on the other end of town and run in it barefooted even though it's winter, freezing outside and we could get frostbites? Sure why not!")
So yes.
Point of thread: I finnaly got a tattoo! I'm so proud of myself since I'm still terrified of needles and all things related!
Do you have a tattoo? If so what kind, where, and how many? If not, do you want to get one?
Also. JOY! Finaly tattoo! And I am so getting another one.

I don't think getting matching tatoos is girly. And it sounds like a pretty awesome design.
I'd love to get a tatoo one of these days, but at the moment, I want to try and lose some weight first. I'm getting way too round in the belly. xp
Since I'm trying to be an elementary teacher, I have to get one that I can hide.I thought of getting one on my back, but I'm not really sure on what yet.
My best friend's mom is trying to help him get a place in Lexington so he can start transitioning there. I... don't plan on ever going to the city to live. It's not as far as where you two are going, but still, I feel for ya.

Aww, that sucks you two are separating.
But the tattoo sounds cute. I'm not a tattoo person. I feel like I'm too fickle and my interests change too much to get something permanently inked onto my body. I may love something now but will I in ten years? I think about that too much.
(And I've seen too many people with "what were you thinking?" tattoos)

lol, you made me remember Zizzy... When I went to visit my therapist, I met a really kind man there. Really nice, talked to everyone.
He had a tatoo of a nude woman on his arm. sweatdrop Only her chest wasn't covered at all. N****** exposed and everything.
My cousin kinda freaked me out when he told me he got a tatoo, partly because it was one of his friends' family members who did it. *He's got the mental capacity of a 5th grader, too, despite being 19, and his friends make him do stupid stuff.*
He showed it to me: turns out, it was a little, itty bitty dot on his arm. He started laughing. "You thought it was something else didn't you? I just wanted to see what it felt like. rolleyes "
Honestly, I think if it's more dealing with decorative work, then there's no problem. naked people, though... maybe not the best idea!!!
