Name Meaning: Spirit / Sacred Dancer
Age: 25 Years
Gender: Female
Physical Condition: Kachina is on good physical condition. She is slim, slightly tones muscles and stands at a short 5'3. She is the mother of a new born child who she devotes most of her time taking care of. She is a skilled archer and has good stamina, so on a hunt she is a good shot to rely on. However since the baby she goes on hunts less and when she does she is carrying the little one on her back.
Recognizable Traits / Markings: Long black raven hair which shines blue in the light, it is braided with beads and feathers, the bulk of it is tied back in a plat which reaches down to the bottom on her back. Her skin is a tan colour. A little lighter than the others in her village. Her eyes are a amber colour and are very sharp. On her left arm is a dark red Tattoo which consists of lines and triangles. It is seen as a family brand and she got if just after she married her husband. Her clothes are simple, she wears animal fur in a cape like manor which she can wrap herself in when it gets cold. Her boots are leather as is her two piece costume, decorated in beads and painted pattern. A kalona tooth necklace rests on her neck and around her arms are bearded bracelets. She wears a feathered headband and carries a bow on her back and a dagger at the side of her boot. She is not often seen with out her child in her arms on in a bundle on her back.

Personality: Kachina is a very determined girl. When she has her eyes set on something God help her she will achieve it. She is not what you would call feminine, even though her appearance is graceful and beautiful, when she opens her mouth you will realise she has some bite. She respects the laws of the land and is trained in many arts. Her favorite of which being the long bow. She is patient and logical. However she is also very passionate and loving. Always one to help people who are weaker than her and stand up for what she thinks is right. To her family she is very gentle and understanding, this being so she still does not accept stupidity and low effort from people. She can be bossy, to the point of being aggressive sometimes if someone is putting theirs of the lives of others under threat. She is a protector, as well as many things, one to lead a attack if need be and more so give her life in battle if it is asked of her. She is 100% loyal to her husband and her tribe. She will always act in their best interest. Being a new mother, she is still learning how to take care of a child, it has changed her, now she is much more responsible and cautious than she used to be.
History: Kachina was born into your normal family, her father tamed horses for a living and owned a ranch, which is were she leaned about them and gained a love for the creatures. Her mother was your every day women, she made clothes and taught children how to cook. From the ago of 6 she was arranged to marry Yoki, the son of a tattoo artist and a medic. So at the age of 14, they were married in 4th moon of spring and started to live in a teepee together. Yoki himself had trained to be a hunter for most of his life and trained his wife in the art of the bow. Soon after he started taking her on hunts and at the age of 15 she made her first kill. She became a skilled archer in the coming years and at the age of 18 became what people would consider a great hunter, having a shot which not only did not rarely miss but also killed the animal instantly by landed it through there throat or heart. Her and Yoki's relationship grew into a very loving one despite their age difference. Since he still saw her as a child when they were married. He concentrated on teaching her and letting her bloom into the beautiful and skilled women that he is proud to call his soul mate.
Yoki and Kachina waited what people would consider a long time to have their first child. However after alomst 10 years of marriage Kachina became pregnant. 9 months later she gave birth to a healthy baby boy, the pregnancy coming and passing with out any problems. With young Tiponi now in the scene, Kachina no longer goes on hunts with her husband, if she does she takes their child with them. So when he goes it could be many weeks before they meet again. Having to now stay at home, Kachina started to adopt her own horses like her father and started a ranch just outside the village. She also has started to trade in Jam, she makes it at her teepee and goes to market to trade for clothes and materials. As the other women do, she tends to crops and makes clothes in her free time. All in all her life is peaceful and respectable by anyone's standard. She does however keep her bow close, when the men are on a hunt, she takes on the role of protector and with a small group of trained women takes on the job of keeping the others safe. She is a working mother to the extreme.
Territory:
The teepee can be found in the outer ring of the village, a large field is seen to its side, witch is used as the stable, a fence is used to keep the soquili in however the gate is open in case they want to venture out, Kachina will care for any horse that comes to her home. A wooden barn in filled with hey and blankets for them who would like to stay the night. Her teepee is quite large, infont of it is a area where she sits, a fire in the middle where she cooks and sits by when the night is cold. She owns a wolf which is named Iso, he can be seen around the teeppee often and rounds the horses into the barn at night. The land is flat and she grows her own crops in a field next to the barn. A totem pole can be seen places behind her teepee. All in all it is very organized and has everything she needs to live a healthy life style. |
