Like I said, we're kind of in limbo right now.
Profs has been gone since Sept. and I don't want to go too far from the shop she set up, but without all the templates, the story is odd and the tribes confusing and people wait for species they likely won't get.
And I really don't think I have the right to have profs sketches made into templates without her permission
So. We have wolves.
o What, if any, changes should be made to the story of the shop?
o What if we did have all the species we had sketches for?
o Should the tribes be retained? Should their purpose be made clearer?
o What kind of events would you like to see once we get rolling?
o Should we attempt to push RP or just become a hording shop?
I know this is good IT info, but I'd rather hear from those who have a vested interest in the shop here first, before I move to an IT/hiring thread.

 What is this i hear about spoons? 0____o;;; Please don't tell me those are to be used on the eyeballs of colorists who don't turn in their work on time - I may have to run away and cry then....
I don't know, I have opinions about this that may or may not help. For the sake of getting it out there though...
1. I think the story is really just fine as it is... if the other templates are eventually madee and there are other animals available, then that would be great - but if they aren't available, the story really only needs to be eddited...
2. I really do like the tribes idea, but I think that their purpose could be a little clearer. If the other animals aren't pulled in they would need to be tweaked as well.
3. RP IS nice, don't get me wrong, but it seems like people are more willing to devote tons of time to RP if the lines are unique, or the supply is more limited... Plots are nice though. I think we should give out perks for RP. Like extra babies with documented RP, or wolves with an essential part in the plotline... if there is a plotline...
4. I for one, would love to have some breedings. Some kind of event in that direction would be cool. Other than that, dice games draw in a ton of people, and flatsales are always nice.
5. There isn't a five... 0___o;;;

My real concern is for the Puma's that are in existence. Did Prof ever give you their templates? If not, we can't have four/five puma's running around for the sole reason that no one else, ever, can get them. It would be unfair.
If you DO have the templates, never mind.

I have no templates~
I saw previews of the totem and gender neutral stages
and obviously, the rare shading and regular adult shading templates exist for the males
but I dun gots em x.x
hence my thoughts on reorganizing things
I might... might be able to recreate the puma template since we already have one or two on the non-special shading
if we think we can't get cohesive RP/plot together, than shall we go the direction of a shop like Wishful Thinking?
I just take a bunch of colorists, give them guide lines, and mostly let them loose?
Or maintain the structured set-up we have now with the adjustments I intend to have?

Okaay. I know my appearances are scarce but I wanted to offer my opinions to help you guys out. Sorry if it doesn't make sense, I had to go do something half way through typing this and lost my train of thought. xDD

If you do not have the other species lined/templated then probably it would be a good idea altering the story to reflect the wolves more. However leave an opening for the story to be expanded to reflect the other species in case if you ever do add them.
This way the few pumas you have can still be apart of the story. OR. Offer remakes for the pumas on the wolf lines. Give them special edits to mimic the pumas? They would be special? .w.? I dunno. Just something so the puma owners aren't left with a pet they can rp but with little purpose to o3o

Then expand the story to include them. Since I don't see it being an option, once again, go with the ability to add to the story later. <3

I like the idea of tribes but to be honest they hold no real purpose in the shop right now... There is very little tribal RP or metaplots. I suggest slowly building on the tribes to encourage RP and eventually you guys can hold metaplots. Perhaps cut it down to a few tribes - the more popular ones - and add more as its needed. You would have to have active staff willing to RP though and on a timely manner. It would take dedication to get people to start RPing.
o What kind of events would you like to see once we get rolling?
Any types of events would be nice. Just to see the shop moving again. Customs being open and later breedings would be nice too.
o Should we attempt to push RP or just become a hording shop?
This relates to the other thing. You would have to encourage RP if you want it. People usually don't if there is no active RPing -or- replies are scare and long in between. I know this from my own shops. You'd have to be really forward with it but do not make it a requirement. Perhaps for breedings - yes, but otherwise? No. RP required breedings I think is the best way to go. It prevents you guys from having to make babies for people who will -never- come to the shop or rarely do. It also makes it more rewarding for the owners and colorists alike because there is a higher chance of the children being rped.
However as stated... breeding only. I see RP shops more or less for unique lines or pets with very little supply and a lot of demand. So let the hoarders hoard but they won't get to breed if they don't stick around =]
