Um, it IS on the PC. Final Fantasies VII through IX are all on the PC. I myself have FF7 on the PC, just for kicks. I can even point out differences between the two if you'd like. The PC version itself comes in a package of four CDs, with one being the install disc, and the other three being gameplay discs. You can actually go into the CDs and copy all the game's movies onto your hard drive, if you wanted to. Because of this, I can view the ending any time I want, and all that jazz, without having to replay the game over and over again. biggrin
Hmm... I should upload some of those movies, maybe... Or maybe not, because I'm lazy and don't like to share. twisted

I also own it and it's pretty slammin, I would try ebay as that other person said, or try funcoland because thats where I gotit and it wouldn't beon the web-site because I bought it on back-order pre-owned three and a half years ago so yea just look around a bit and if worse comes to worse I could just make you a copy of mine if you want.

Personally i think it shouldve stayed on the playstation format rather then going to pc also because people that can mod the game and just throw it off totally...yeah its hard and most people cant do it if they wanted to but highly experienced people can and it just kinda ruins it in an aspect....at the same though for the fact that most ppl cant i cant really say that it was a bad idea either especially since computers will always be around and game stations kinda conk out after a while and different ones cycle in and out hence ps1 ps2 and ps3 comin out soon and so on and so forth...

Kumori_Cat it's only in japan that they sell that... try amazon or ebay.. That is completely untrue, because I have purchased an English version (the Platinum Edition, no less) from Gamestop at a local mall, and I live in Washington state.
This game is liscensed by a company named Eidos for the PC port of the game, so if you look up information pertaining to that, you'll probably find into on Final Fantasy VII for the PC.
Honestly, it was only about fifteen dollars with tax included. Really cheap.

I had it for PC (actually it was my mom's since it was the "newest" FF that she could play)
Ours messed up in one part but otherwise it ran smooth. And as for modding, there is nothing you can do to it that you can't do with codes for the PSX version.

I can't remember where I got mine...I think it used to be my cousin's.... ninja Anyways, I never knew it existed on something other than PC until I joined this guild. Soon after that, I found it at a game store. That made me feel silly... sweatdrop

It is on PC, but the newer OS you have, the crappier the sound. I first had it on Windows 98, and the sound was alright. The disks got lost somehow, and after we bought our new PC w/ Windows XP on it, I got it for my B-day and the sound is almost as bad as nails-on-a-chalkboard. If you've got an old PC w/ Windows 98 on it, I'd bet you can find it on E-Bay seeing as Eidos (the company the game is licensed too) isn't selling them anymore. 3nodding

Hmm....
I think Mako basically explained it all..
Only thing I have to add thou is that windows 95 was the only OS back when we bought the game that would run it.
Now they have patches for the game, but it was meant for 95. If you have XP or something else it is okay, but you need a patch for it to work.
Kinda like Starcraft really. o-o;;
Except FF VII was much more fun.
That and if you haven't played through the game before... DON'T GO THROUGH THE FMV'S FOLDER!!! crying Tis sad.
