yea those are the exact words that came out of this guys mouth domokun
we were all meeting up in the band room, the whole highschool band and chorus to all go over to the middle school to promote musical electives
i am talking to a guy friend whose from band, and then his annoying immature friend comes up (never had a probelm with him before till now) and he was like "jen what are you doing here" (your not suppose to be here)
i replied: "im on chorus... stare "
"Since when were you in chorus? don't you have to go meet your own chorus room?"
"no, we use the band room for our classes"
"heh, chorus is stupid"
instead of giving him my witty retort i kicked him in the nuts leaving a shoe mark on his black shirt. i know its a little low-level thing to do but he deserved it.
i have nothing against band people, just only immature people like that.
Band makes music through instrument, chorus makes music with voice
but point is we both make music rolleyes
Discussion: anyone ever encounter remarks such as this?

Chorus is way better than band. I'm in both- Band as a percussionist.

Getting "chorus is stupid" and "OMG BAND PWNS COIR" don't piss me off as much as getting "singers aren't real musicians."
I have a tendency to completely lose it if someone has the nerve to say that just because we don't use a purchased instrument, we're not musicians.

I was talking to this 11 year old, and asked him to listen to a choir song we performed. He stopped it though and said that choir music sounded horrible. *I'm putting it nicely...*
I asked him how he could say that, when all he listens to is Rap. He replied that Rap was a LOT better than the junk I listened to. *Again, putting it nicely.*
So I told him that Rap music was the most horrible music there ever was, and I wasn't lying just because I as mad; I really do hate Rap. I kept going on about how he was ignorant; Too young to appreciate fine music. And then I blocked him. XD;;
Maybe a little extreme, but that kid gets on my nerves... All he talks about is how many people want to kill him. >.<

All the time. Especially since I'm in both band and chorus (I play the flute), people always tell me that chorus is not worthwhile and I should quit it. I have a hard schedule this year. I got to band one day and chorus on the next and it keeps rotating. Even my friends tell me to quit chorus but I love singing. Apparently to them, chorus is for geeks; too bad I don't care.

ah yes, a girl in my chorus class said that. i wanted to punch her in the face because then she started whining about how altos aernt singing loud enough, but she really got me mad when she said "this gurl right her aint doin singin at all!"
that just got me mad...
considering im the only alto that sings loud
plus i actually sing the right notes
which made me want to slap her
but i didnt
i wish i did
though
lol
those people dont deserve to be in chorus

People like that make me want to cry. ((sniffle)) I too agree that band is cool as well. (In case the siggy doesn't make that obvious.) However, it's really immature to bash the other group. I've done both, so I know that each has its qualities that should be respected. Worshipped, even! I want to kick that guy too.

I haven't really come across anything like that, but my best friend once was trying to figure out what a chorus person was called, and she came up with Choir f**, but she was just kidding around, so I didn't really mind.
