Hello so me and my neighbor have been friends since...forever (kindergarten to be exact) Lets call her...Friend. We did everything together but ever since weve been in highschool i could feel that we havent been hanging out as much. I have another group of friends and they arnt very fond of Friend and she isnt very fond with them. They used to be really close but they split apart too. Anyways point. In her group of friends shes in the more popular crowd while me(at a different school) and my other friends are more towards the bottom of the social chain so its not like me and Friend are in the same social group. I still like hanging out with Friend but idk what we would do anymore I mean were mature now and were not playing games like house or tag we just watch movies and thats great but we dont talk like we used to either...What Im trying to ask is should i call this friendship a case closed or try and look for what made us be friends in the first place?

The question is, do you value Friends friendship enough to want to keep pushing forward?

I would suggest talking to her about how you feel. Let her know it seems like you guys are drifting apart and that you don't want that to happen. If you guys are meant to stay friends, you will be able to reconnect. If not, there isn't much you can do.
Friends drift apart. It's hard to accept, but it happens.

However, I'm not saying that it's inevitable.
If you guys can pull through this, that's great!
Best wishes,
Mel.
Thanks and actually she came over yesterday and we went out to dinner with my fmily and we had a great time and we talked like actually talked! It was amazing and I didnt have the feeling like "oh let me try and start a random conversation cause I have to" But I'll consider doing that cause I dont want her to get upset but I might so that way we can get thins straightened out
