Obviously Repo Men seems like a direct ripoff of REPO!, and we are all pretty rabidly loyal. I am still unwilling to completely write it off until I see exactly how many similarities there are.
To that end, I and my REPO! friend are likely making shirts and heading off to Repo Men when it comes out. I see this as an opportunity to educate people on REPO!; hopefully people who like the concepts behind Repo Men will love REPO!
Your thoughts?

I'll see it for three reasons 1)Violence 2) Liev Schreiber and 3) to educate fans on REPO!

Nope..Not going. If I do see it, it will be a bootleg/internet. I am not supporting them in anyway.

Eh, I think it's pretty obvious that it's not a rip-off, and it's promising everything I want in a summer action flick. So I'll be seeing it.
That, and I'm on a total Jude Law kick after Sherlock Holmes. redface

I'm starting to think about waiting till I am not paying money for it myself, though I'm still on the fence.
Liev is the shizz though.

I might go see it in theaters, but I'm most definitely leaving flyers for CT-based shadowcasts and/or flyers for the actual movie.
I adore Repo!, and it pisses me off to no end that they so blatantly ripped our film off...but it looks really well made... And I'm a sucker for gore...and action flicks... So...maybe. Maybe is the final answer.

I might watch it illegally. But it looks like Jude Law plays the hero of the movie...and I was kind of hoping the movie ends with him being gutted, so...
Anthony Stewart Head > Jude Law...by a long shot.

I'm seriously considering attempting to sneak into the projector room and swap Repo Men for Repo! The Genetic Opera during the previews. If people are going to spend money to see a movie, shouldn't they get to see the real thing?

I might boot leg it. If I find it. Or I might just go in Repo Cosplay. Or I might wait to Netflix it. It depends on me Mum. I am unfortunately subject to her mighty motherly powers. Still she's rubbed on Ogre so she deserves it. ^^

Ridley Wolf I'm seriously considering attempting to sneak into the projector room and swap Repo Men for Repo! The Genetic Opera during the previews. If people are going to spend money to see a movie, shouldn't they get to see the real thing? They are paying to see the real Repo Men. You'd be swapping in a completely different movie.

Yeah, that isn't a grand idea. This movie is definitely marketed for people who ABSOLUTELY WON'T see the appeal of REPO!, and think about how you might feel. The cosplay notion is a mighty fine idea.
