His search began many years ago, in a land distant from Kawanii...
He was only a foal when he lost his brother, swallowed by the ocean in a terrible storm. Purnoma and his brother
Maion had been trying to fly through a storm to make it home to their parents after a day of flight. When passing over the edge of the ocean, lightening struck, dazing Maion sending him into a spiral, crashing into the water below.
Purnoma had tried to follow his brother, but his body was soon swept under by the currents, lost to the ocean. Purnoma had returned to their parents, it had been his fault...he had failed to save his brother.
As the years passed, Purnoma grew and learned the secrets of their family. They had each been gifted abilities with different elements of nature, and his parents instilled in him that Maion may still be alive as he had been marked with the symbol for the ocean. This gave Purnoma hope, that one day, he would find his brother alive and well.
Once he had grown into an adult, Purnoma set out to find his brother. Stopping at every village and herd land that he could find on the coast line, slowly making his way South, hope fading with every setting sun.
