( i wanna buy a really nice guitar and i need some help) which one do you prefer:
Fender Strat
Gibson SG

They all have their ups and down yo. I have a B.C. Rich but i mean if your look for major tone change you should be looking at amps. I own a B.C. Rich NJ. Deluxe (750-800$) and its nice and i love it but for huge tone difference you need a good amp.
Having said that. It all depends on what style you play. If i were you I wouldn't make my descision on other people's preference. Go out and go to the store and play some guitars.
Having said that (to). People generally like fender's for their chimmy single coils. Esp is very diverse but a lot of their guitars have emg's which are perferred by metal players for their sustain. Gibson has a very dirty classic rock sound. And Ibanez is also perferred by metal players for their slim necks. On other hand i'm not saying that any of these guitars are held down to these stereotypes.
Once again go out the store and try some guitars. Sometimes a cheaper guitar is better than a more expensive one you just need to try em out. Good luck.
