Ugh... I've seen the dub, the fansubs, and I bought three of the hong kong dvd sets. Yes... yes they do say the oddest things. I remember cracking up at D.N. Angel's 'shut yor moth!' We were all sorta drunk at the time too, so for the rest of the evening, there would be an outbursting of 'shut your moth!'
*cough* Anyway... The dub is slightly annoying. I don't expect them to be perfect, of course, but dude... -.- If I hear Naruto say believe it ONE more time...

I've seen the dub and a couple fansubbed episodes. I would buy import DVDs if I had a region 2 DVD player... Even if don't speak Japanese, I still know what's going on, soo... -,-
The dub physically hurts me, but I still watch it every week. They have some odd picks for voices, and some major holes in their editing. And random shouts of "CHAA" and "BELIEVE IT" are just not working for me.
Sakura is not a Pokemon. =___=;;

I've got fansubbed CDs of up to episode 150-something (I think) that a friend sent me, though I've only watched to episode 101. I have also seen the dub, and I much prefer the original version. Most of the voice actors on the dub are not only wrong for the parts they play, they're, sadly, not very good actors a lot of the time. ^^; And while I do appreciate the fact that they tried to get a voice similar to Naruto's original one, all of the "Believe it!"s ruin that. I forced my stepmom to watch some of the fansubbed CDs, and even she prefers them.
...I prefer the manga, anyway. ninja

Bleh... since my computer's all un-downloadable (it's all slow and we have AOL), I get my friend to burn DVDs for me. ^^;; So far, I've read up to chapter 155 or so, and watched up to episode 51 subbed, and episode 101 (that was really funny. rofl ). My friend's going to burn me up to 150 or so this week... hopefully. I can't watch the dubbed since I don't have cable, and I prefer it that way. Well, I actually stopped watching TV all together. ;>>

I download the fansubs off Naruto Chaos, but one of the downloads messed up so I haven't seen episodes 101-106 gonk They bug me now stare But, yeah, I like the Japanese voices and stuff better. I hate the voice they gave Naruto and the "Beleive it" thing. That bugs me; now the only reason I watch the dubbed episodes every week is because I'm curious what voices they're going to give all the characters. Curiosity is going to kill my ears sweatdrop

I was also so annoyed that they cut out Sasuke and Naruto's kiss in episode 3. I mean... dear God, the poor little children might have to *GASP* see an ACCIDENTAL kiss between two boys who make it obvious right afterwards that they didn't enjoy it. Oh NO... Geez, Bugs Bunny was giving wet sloppy kisses to male AND female characters years before Naruto ever came out. I don't hear anyone complaining about THAT... rolleyes Well, at least they didn't make Haku a girl.

Lo and behold, there's a hole in the editing. Top-right corner, the forgotten kiss. So! I'm so curious to hear voices...Everything bad about this dub overrides that curiosity. Dattebayo fansubs don't play on my computer...That's mainly the reason I don't watch fansubs. sweatdrop

I didn't really think that they would, since it's an accident, and it's made very obvious that neither of them enjoyed it. There's nothing homosexual about it, but they just HAVE to blow it out of proportion, and cut out an amusing scene to appease the homophobes. Anyway, as for the fansubs, I had the same problem. If you'd really like to watch fansubs, download VLC Media Player. It's free, and it'll play ANYTHING. I adore it.

Oooh, I had VLC before I downloaded DivX, but VLC dropped frames like crazy. o_O Hmm, I suppose I could try it again. There are some episodes that I really want to see, but are only hosted by Dattebayo... Thanks!

I haven't had any problems with VLC yet, though, and I've been using it since I had to wipe my hard drive, which was about... five months ago, I think. Anyway, I hope it works for you ^^

Anyway, I hope it works for you ^^ Well, I was watching Tsubasa Chronicle, and my computer had some problem with it... My computer is such crap. Things that skip on this machine play fine on others... So it decided that it would omit frames so it could synch up the audio. Which actually makes no sense, but that's what it did. =___= Hopefully, this will work! sweatdrop EDIT: SUCCESS!!! I can now watch speed-subbed episodes. ;w; I'm so happy, I could cry. TuT

I have borrowed some of the Naruto episodes from my good friend. Let me tell you all something: I HATE BAD GRAMMER! Oh my god, they keep messing up with spelling and it has come to get on my nerves. Ah, Very annoying. But I was able to catch up with some of the episodes quickly, Which is a good thing. I was also able to get the story (No matter how much it would confuse me with the bad spelling.) and I knew what was going on.
I've also downloaded some of the Fan-Subs this summer. The spelling was SO much better! Ah, I wanted to cry with happiness. But, I sadly did not know what was going on because there was a big gap in between the episodes I borrowed and the episodes I downloaded. Arg.
Then, There is the Cartoon NetWork dubs. I'm very happy with how well they did on the voice actors, I was worried that they might screw up on the voices. The only problem with the Toonami dub is 'Believe it!' Sorry, Naruto baby, I don't 'believe it'. Please cut out that cheesy line and throw it away. TTwTT But I shouldn't be complaining, Cause it is supposed to also be for kids around the ages of about 7-12. Ah, Too bad.
