Let me know, what does it mean to you?

to me, i suppose that it's a means of doing good things for other people, and finding satisfaction an wholeness in my spiritual self. (corny as that sounds... heart ) in example, if i cn't physically be there to help out the haitians, then i can pray for aid for them and know help will get to the right people.

It seems like your desire is noble. Some people only get into it for love or money. I know the rituals were what appealed to me at first, currently I hardly ever preform an esbat, instead I perfer waiting for the Sabbats (it's like Christmas times 100)

to me, its being able to follow the path that makes sense to me. the chance to honor nature, and the god and goddess, and....i dont have the words to describe it, sparkly i guess.

It understands me. When I was younger, it was the only thing that did. It helped me form my own perspective of the world and its inhabitants. Without it, I think I would still be lost.

It speaks to me in ways that I cannot truly define with words, but mean more to me than many things here on Earth every could. It is...right, I guess you could say. Ritual is a good affirmation of faith, but whether or not I choose to engage in ritual for any given reason is not a sign that I believe any less, or have lost any amount of faith. My patron knows me well enough that I do not mean to slight her in any way, just that I follow my own path and that my path may not necessarily be what is considered "proper form" or however you want to label it. Guess I'm trying to say that I have faith, and that I like to think my patron and her consort have faith in me as well.

I guess that the meaning of being pagan to me is just being able to think what you want, believe what you want, having faith that there may or may not be fate or destiny but there is someone higher up as well that you can turn to in troubling times. You can do your best to try and better your life in a way many people wouldn't think of, releasing your creativity in different ways than most people, and I like that. It's not so much about being noble or not, but just living in a way that will make life more enjoyable and easier to get through. If that makes sense ^^"

i should add, also, that in my opinion, no one can know everything about what their religion is, and anyone who does is full of it. there are always things that we don't understand, and that we'll never find out.

Religion and spirituality are lifelong paths. We cannot know the outcome when we start on it, and would learn nothing from it if we did. I know that my view on religion and spirituality has changed from when I fifteen, which was different from what I thought of it prior, and continues to evolve still to this day. Not to say that what I thought previously was wrong, so much as it served its purpose, but I have outgrown the lesson and moved on to another.

which is good, because one teacher can't tell you everything.

I was sitting in a group one night and somebody asked why we did this, what it meant, as most pagans go, everybody started talking at once. So I asked everybody to say in ONE sentence or less What it meant to them. We went around the room and nobody repeated what had been said before and nobody had a problem thinking of something to say. It was really beautiful, I wish someone had recorded it, nobody did.

I said to me its a way of finding deeper meaning through metaphor and poetry.

Like everyone else I kept it to one sentence but I was pleased when later some people came to me to tell me they got it, and to ask some questions.

Wiccanism is the first thing that felt right in my heart, and I felt like I could be apart of it, and not an outcast like when I used to try to be christian... It means to me being myself, and Loving nature and the elements and finding the magic in myself and the earth to help the ones I love and benifit my life with amazing lessons and everything... smile it means so much to me
