Hey COS...
heh, that's kinda like 'Cas' only not
I've got a bit of a problem. I've had these little plot bunnies nibbling at my heals for the past several weeks of my Supernatural withdrawals. They paint these nice little pictures, and have prompted me to some interesting snapshots and ideas, but I need some aid with filling in the holes.
Would anyone be interested in helping me bounce around some ideas about an entirely new brand of Hunters?

Ah! Thrilled to have even one person interested! biggrin
The plot bunnies have suggested to me several little details for my consideration.
For one, you know how all of the Hunters in the series all seemed to be rogue agents, working on their own dime? Well, one of the first ideas I got was for a different way of doing things--an elite agency. A hunter organization. Very small, privately funded, and with a very specific goal in mind. That goal has to do with my poll. Rhyming unintentional.
In Biblical legend, Nephilim were the result of human and angel pairings, specifically a sect of fallen angels called the Grigori; the Watchers. They were rumored mostly to be giants, but some say that this is a misinterpretation; that they instead had the physical strength of giants, among other possible abilities.
The plot bunnies have given me two characters and the basics for an opening, but I need help pulling it all together. I've been told that my idea is fairly epic, but I know how to rein myself in, to keep it from getting out of hand. I want to start much like how the boys did; sort of in the dark. Things didn't start getting bigger until later.
On the small scale, I have a man in his thirties tentatively named Harry. A little over a week ago, his wife was murdered. The circumstances surrounding her death were strange, but no one will listen to him. The police are working on leads to find her killer, but it doesn't look hopeful. Harry has been casting about for anything he can do to help, but gets turned around at every bend. He's just about to do something drastic when there comes a knock at his door. A young woman, an officer, has come to check up on his story about his wife--just for clarity's sake. He's tired of talking to officers, but she convinces him eventually. Partway in, the questions start to get... unusual. Suspiciously so, as though she seems to be probing about what exactly it is that he knows about his wife's death. She seems to know that what happened to his wife was not normal.
Meet Jamie, a hunter. She belongs to this small organization I've come up with, and she's on the case of Harry's wife's death. There is a lot of secrecy that surrounds Jamie and her organization, but at the base of it, there is a single word; Nephilim. This organization is searching for them. To what end, we don't know at the start.
I've got lots more. I just need someone to help me out with the first hunt.

That actually sounds interesting, really interesting, it has a lot of potential. The characters are also at a great start, I like their back story, although Harry's could be a tad more original.
At first I thought that this secret agency was somehow created by the Nephilim... I think I like what you're doing with that too.
I thought the first hunt was Harry's wife... or you mean like first first?
I think it would be easier to talk about this through an IM... unless other people join in.

I completely agree with you on all points, and would love to chat.
When you say 'live', do you mean MSN perhaps? Or does that gmail addy work on googletalk?
