Well I wanted to try out writing a haiku, so I did some research(on the internet) but I'm still not sure if I got it right. I live in Puerto Rico and in all my ten years of schooling we've never discussed poetry in English, let alone haiku. Please tell me if I did it correctly or not (point out what's wrong please). Thanks.
Bang! Over my head
Fireworks soar in the sky
As I fall asleep
The waves are crashing
See a new couple forming
In the Summer heat

You certainly got it correct, Artemis. The Haiku formula is: 5 syllables - 7 syllables - 5 syllables. So, five on top, seven in the middle, five on the bottom. You've done a great job keeping to that forumla, and understanding it. ^_^
